Oh yeah? Well who is the ugliest QB in the history of the NFL? That's right Mr Luck is. Damn it I forgot about Peyton Manning and Drew Brees

Jeff George was one ugly mukka fukka...he might still have the title.

So here's the irony, when does the Luck talent myth run out?  Can he be really good?  Sure.  Can he be great? I have seen it yet.  How mamy years will it take for Luck to put it together? When is he going to deliver on his promise?

Or will he be one of those wasted opportunity guys who go the mega contract?

I remember when I used to have to argue with some Luck schmuck about how Cam was the better QB. Now, I don't even have to say anything, not only because Cam has outplayed Luck, but because all the Luck fanboys have disappeared in the cracks. I know they're waiting to come back, but I know---just like they really know deep down in their hearts---that Cam is going to make his superiority that much more evident with the passing of each year.

Oh no, not all of them.

One has even responded in this thread.  His loyalty to Luck never fails.

And you know what kills me? Luck's contract is going to fug them over. It's going to have a negativev domino effect that will further hinder Luck from ever being at the top of the game (or even his game).

In addition to the Texas team *really* improving in the AFC South.  To me, they look like the most well-rounded team in that division.  And, at an overall team talent level, that Texas team has WAY more than Indianapolis.

Pretty much every snap cam is the most dominant player on the feild.

Can you say that about luck?

Wipe your ass with stats and percentages.

Indeed.

But even the stats and percentages support Cam >>>>> Neck Beard.  But even, as you say, if you wipe your ass with them, Cam still stands out as the better QB.

NFL.com is putting on their Golden Child full-court press.

http://www.nfl.com/fantasyfootball/story/0ap3000000672327/article/20-shocking-fantasy-predictions-for-2016

Oh, and that same article gives us this:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000672743/article/end-around-andrew-luck-is-the-best-bargain-in-sports

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000672457/article/top-comeback-player-of-the-year-candidates-for-2016

Even when you get a guy that picks Cam, he makes it clear its distasteful to him to do it.

I'm sure it does, Greg.  I'm sure it does.

And then, outside the area of The Golden Child, they're warming up their "why Carolina is going to fail" memes.

Oh, look!  It's our good friend Conor Orr!

"You killed Kenny,..... You bastard!!!"

Carolina could do anything less than 15-1 and these people can stick to their words and say they were right about regressing,... Unless we win the Super Bowl of course.

As far as Luck, I'm not going to defend him because Cam is just about my favorite football player ever at this point,.. But

Luck has a team where they are stuck in our 2011 mode where their defense sucks and on good days maybe average at best, and hes having to sling it a lot, hence the high passing stats and of course interceptions.

Now with the addition of a terrible offensive line his situation is worst.

Where Cam is better is we had a terrible offensive line for a while that looked average to good because Cam could mask their weaknesses. He escapes and finds ways to extend plays that freeze defensive players,... Until Denver started blitzing every down.

Anyway, these talking heads want to crown Luck but Texas is probably going to mop the floor with them this year while The Panthers are very capable of winning the division yet again,...

If Luck had shown any progression, I wouldn't have a problem with the hype. But being a Panther and watching Cam get better and better every year, just really makes me wonder why he gets the coverage he does. Gotta be more than being white.

The media pushes Luck so hard because many NFL fans are still living in a bygone era where an ordinary "aw shucks" boring white "lunchpail" type quarterback just has to be the standard alone at the top.

It's exactly this.  Luck is the great white hope.  There will alway be a sizable chunk of the NFL fanbase that just won't accept a player like Cam.  The type who would feel compelled to write a letter to the editor, no doubt.

I'm surprised the media hasn't talked about how much of an anchor this contract is though.  Hard to keep a balanced team together when one guy is taking up so much of the cap, and it's not like the Colts are known for good drafting and free agent decisions.  He is very fortunate that the AFC South has been a perpetual dumpster fire since he arrived there, or he wouldn't have any of those winning seasons.  If you examine things closely, he's actually something like a .500 or worse QB outside of the division.

If i'm looking for a QB drafted 2012 or later to blossom into a superstar, i'm hitching my wagon to Derek Carr before Luck, honestly.
