I'd figure Jacobs or Colin Jones.

So this means Cash needs to be big on special teams to make his case.

I just don't see letting go of a special teams ace with experience playing with the ones. Cash can't replace Jones' speed as a gunner.

Igo, can you update us on where Sandland and Simonson have been lining up? Like have they been lining up at FB or been on any special teams squads at all? Someone mentioned Sandland had been lining up at FB some. Hopefully that's a good sign he's a good blocker.

so if he makes the team, which LB gets cut for Cash?

IMO, With us most likely keeping 3 backup OL, that could free up space to keep both Cash and Jacobs. That would depend if they feel they need to keep Jacobs so that special teams doesn't take a hit.

They only way we can keep all 7 LBs (Luke, TD, Shaq, AJ, Jacobs, Mayo, Cash) is to only roll with 4 DTs and 5 DEs. I just don't know if 7 LBs is necessary. I don't know who of Jacobs, Mayo, Cash would be the one to get cut though. I guess that's what the pre-season is for.

It's going to be a tough decision for the staff.

I know it's not popular to cut draft picks but I think Cash's upside is alot higher than David Mayo. I believe that Cash has the skill set that can transition into one of the better special team players on are team. Plus I think there is a greater chance Mayo makes it to the practice squad with out being claimed.

    • We don't have to tear down Dak to appreciate what Bryce did yesterday. Dak had 0 running game. If the cowboys were better, he'd be a legit MVP candidate if he keeps playing this way.  They did it with Ceedee last year, but they do a better job of anybody we play consistently of getting their best receiver off Jaycee.  Bryce was good too. If we just catch the ball that was intercepted, we probably win by 7+, and Bryce goes over 200 yards passing.  Biggest shift the last few weeks has been play calling. I thought Canales abandoned the run game way to early at times last year. This year he really seems to be sticking with it.  I still think Chuba is better at making 4 yards when there's nothing there, but Rico is better at making 30 yards when there's 6 there. I like the direction. Hopefully we can get Moton, Sanders and Coker back and really be dangerous. Our play action game is pretty deadly right now.  Unrelated: My favorite quality about Bryce right now is his ability to see the defensive hold and throw the ball there. He EXPOSES the officials when they don't call it. That one on Tetaroia yesterday late in the game was a bad miss on their part.
    • That sacks allowed number lookin juicy!
    • This is a game the Panthers should win... just the sort of game they lose. The Panthers have a bad habit that goes back years of playing down to the competition's level only to mess around and lose the game. The Jets game should be taken very seriously! But I want to enjoy the fact that they beat the Cowboys for at least another day or so!
