My biggest thing I want to see improved this year is that killer instinct. Far too many times last season we had huge leads at half and let teams back in it. I hope we've learned how to step on opponents throats.

I think it will be necessary. As our secondary matures, our D will most likely backslide a little this season (I think Worley and Bradberry will be awesome in the long run, but there will be growing pains) and allow more points scored against us. No reason that this offense can't outscore opponents.

I have longed for the days of a Panthers offense that puts its foot on the gas pedal and keeps a constant pressure...

We saw glimpses of it in the past, but I'm hoping this means we are going to do it even more. I, too, think we are at our best when Cam's making most of the decisions at the line and we're in no-huddle. It is the equivalent of keeping the opponent in the center of the ring, and not letting them lay upon the ropes or hug it out for temporary respite.

Cam is really coming into his own. He has really mastered Shula's offense and made it his own. All of the studying and hard work is finally paying off.  To think he has gone from people saying it would take 2 years for him to even be a starter in the NFL to a quarterback who can recognize and manipulate defenses with the great ones is really a testament to a great coaching staff and incredibly hard working quarterback. The synergy between them is the best in our franchise history. Now with the talent to match we should be a top 5 offense again this year which would be the only time that we have had a top 5 offense two years in a row.

This is due to Cam really mastering what Shula was trying to do.....while at the same time where Shula fully understands Cams strengths.  They are on the same page and clicking right now.

Yea...pretty amazing considering the knock on him as he came out of college.  Most did not think he had the IQ for this. LMAO  Rivera has grown as a head coach but his 1st big decision was gutsy and smart.

Rivera and Hurney get all the credit for that 1st big decision, absolutely.

But it even took Rivera a while for the light to finally dawn on what he REALLY had as a QB.  Then it was like

Legitimately one of the most beautifully articulated posts to grace the huddle in quite some time.
