I just can't believe how good Bene looked already. He really really impressed me today. I also saw some flashes from Butler today, especially on that fumble play. It's gonna be a blast watching that young man learn the game.

The Butler and Soliai combo practically escorted the Titans RBs down the field with all the gaps they gave up to the RBs. Butler was easily moved out of his gap, and his attempt at one handed tackles that he used in college will not work in the NFL. Three years of development for the young man.

Starting CBs should be Bradberry and Bene. Worley isn't ready or simply isn't good enough. He was the worst player on the field.

Yeah, Butler is raw but I think everyone already knew that or should've at least expected a small school DT to be raw. Small school prospects tend to be a little raw out of the gate, especially linemen. They're used to be able to dominate based on strength and athleticism alone. I expect him to get some rotations as a pass rushing specialist DT early on and hopefully see his role grow throughout the season. I wouldn't be shocked though if he simply doesn't get a ton of PT as a rookie. We're deep at DT.

Non first stringers that showed up well

All 3 RB's, Mayo, Bene, McClain, Gradkowski, Norwood, Byrd, Lucas, Webb, Anderson, Sanchez

2nd string Oline was a bit better this week, 2nd string Dline still has some work to do.

1st string Dline for that matter was not on top of it.

Hoping some things come together this Friday

Yes, badly in 1st 4 series.  Tajae Sharp had 6 catches against him.

To be fair, Worley had good coverage on a couple of those passes but the ball placement was such that only the WR had a chance and the guy just made a play.

I'm not sold on the RB situation. Stewart & Tolbert will be solid, but I'm not encouraged by anything I see behind them. 

On a very positive note... Cam didn't air-mail anyone and Benjamin looks like he's added 20lbs of muscle...
