Does everybody we bring in make ESPN? They briefly mentioned us bringing him in. I think we might sign if his workout is ok

might like him but want to wait until after week 1 is in the book so he isn't on the opening day roster...but then a team could realize that and snatch him up from us prior to the start if he is looking good.

I don't know what starting caliber means exactly because we and lots of teams start guys that probably aren't.  Is he a better option than Boston is all that matters.  I think overall he is likely a better option than Boston today given what the rest of our secondary consists of.

In this case it means starting for us. You think he would, I think he wouldn't. We'd both like to add him though, so there's that.

who knows, I have felt for months....we would sign a DB right before the start of the season.

tonight, probably will an impact if that does or doesn't happen.

this is really unlikely. A signing would likely work in conjunction with first cuts.

except we have 2 injured safeties, one of whom is confirmed for heading to IR. Just gotta officially put him on IR and a roster spot has opened. That said I don't think anyone will get signed today if we don't get any information within the next hour.

Good point everyone seems to forget. This year's DEs are swapping out a 2 sack Allen for a healthy CJ and hopefully a better Ealy. I'd like to add some young studs in the 2017 draft, but our DEs are about the same as last year.

Outside of adding Hardy, I don't think there is much we can do at DE this year. There aren't going to be DEs getting cut that will do a whole lot for us.

It all works together though...

if we got significantly worse at DB....the fact we are weak at DE becomes more obvious because Norman and Peanut and company could handle more time in coverage than lesser DBs

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
