Actually Peyton's line was just as bad as Brady's, rewatch the game tape.

The difference is Peyton didn't have to pass as much and was making his decisions quicker. Meanwhile Brady was making some really stupid decisions, passing it into double coverage and getting fooled by Von Miller dropping back

Any QB will start making bad decisions when they get hit enough. That's the whole point. Why are you arguing about this?

You do understand that Brady was playing against Denver's defense and not Peyton Manning, right?

Of course. I've seen the game of football several thousand times.

In the game in question Manning had a far superior rating.

90 vs 56 if you want me to provide it for you.

Am I remembering correctly that the Patriots center had a tell for every time he snapped the ball? That he did a little head bob just as he was snapping it? I think it was that game anyway. If so, not to take anything away from the Denver defense, but that certainly helps them get to Brady faster and get him off his game.

Yes, because Denver's defense was so good. Peyton Manning had nothing to do with how Brady played. Am I making this too complicated or something?

1st time starter or not he's better physically then the shell of Peyton hobbling around in Santa clara...maybe you should change that to if we let Von Miller wreck poo again because that's what it boils down to

This, Peyton had the worst QB performance in the history of the SB and still "beat" us because Von Miller made Remmers his b*tch.

Except for the fact when he threw those two interceptions the game was just starting and he hadn't taken many hits yet.........

OK, so Denver has a damn good secondary too. Are you actually trying to argue that Tom Brady sucks and the Denver defense had nothing to do with him having a bad game that day? And if so, why?

Oh so when Manning plays bad, it's Manning playing bad. But when it's Brady struggling, it's the defense. I see now

Some people can't accept the fact Manning outplayed Brady. You seem to be one of them.

I'm gonna post this one more time for the stupid people...Brady and Manning did not play against each other. They played against the other teams defense. Brady did not have bad stats because of Peyton Manning. Why is this so fudging hard for you?

    • First, am I wrong? I looked back over all his posts here and I didn't see anything positive other than Shough. Second, pretty sure if you had read the post I was responding to, you would have seen CRA made poo personal as well . You just choose to address me instead of him. Not sure why?????
    • I wanted XL but I felt he should have been a 2nd rounder but I understand the logic trading up just to get the option. A safety net for your gamble.    Certainly disappointed with his receivers development but i like his down field blocking and I imagine that's what's keeping him on the field.
    • Pretty sure it is a given Young lacks typical QB size and strength and he is here simply because his other attributes more than make up for it. My point is not to indicate anyone "settled" for him but rather to remind people that there have been plenty of big, strong QB's that have not lived up to expectations. Jamis Winston, Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, JaMarcus Russel are a few examples. They all have the physical attributes coveted by teams and yet none have had sustained success in the NFL. And yes, there are QBs that do have both but there aren't many and some of the ones still playing were failures with their early teams. Saying Young is a bust simply based upon his size (and I do think it is as simple as that for a few guys around here) is unfair to both him and the team.
