Weaknesses/concerns per Denver fans

3 concerns stand out per fan talk

Lurking at their board it appears on D they have legit concerns about their interior DL being able to get the job done vs the run and pass.  If true, this would serve us well with a healthy 28 and our overall run scheme.

There other major fan concerns are a repeat of another weak OL to work around and hinder both the run and pass game.

Outside of that it looks like they are having the punt issue we were prior to Lee's arrival.   That would be something to watch as well, and help in field position would be huge.

A lot of them seem to voice that the historically great D last year was needed to offset how bad their OL situation as gotten.  So there seems to be a little worry about them not being able to duplicate the defensive level needed to overcome how weak they are upfront on O

Outside of Wolfe and Williams interiors some dewky thanks to them losing Malik Jackson.. On offense they did pick up Russell Okung but we are familiar with that guy..

Okung is better than what the Hawks have now at LT, but he is the Sam Bradford of LT's.  Allllways hurt, a high first rounder in 2010, from an Oklahoma college, and far from elite even when healthy.

One of the never mentioned disappointments in SB50 was KK's subpar game, overshadowed by everything else.  Too many reasons to count why he needs to play like his hair is on fire.

Or maybe they focused on him, making it easier for Ealy to do what he did. That seems a likely scenario.

    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
