Are these  fugged up fuggers really the best the NFL can find to ref it's games?

I'd say they're the best they want to find.

The idea of full time officials gets brought up frequently, and just as frequently shot down (as does any notion of increased accountability).

BTW, Chris Harris Jr. said, and I quote, "he (Cam) got all the calls. I think he got 3 or 4 roughing the passer calls. So it's not that he wasn't protected".

Bold face lie. On ESPN. National television.

I really don't think he's a liar.

I just think he's dumb as a box of rocks.  His brain probably told him that's what happened because he KNEW that's what they were doing.

Intentionally.

I find it VERY disgusting that our O-line didn't retaliate. I don't give a fug who got ejected or how many penalties flew, you fuggin protect your franchise QB at all costs at that point in the game. If it takes an all out brawl for the NFL to finally take action, then so be it. But if I'm Cam, and my O-line nor coach nor owener is standing up for me, I would say fug it and start not giving a sh*t.

In the OL's defense, all or many of them were probably occupied when the events in question immediately occurred and didn't see anything but the outcome (Cam on the ground).

So unless Cam told them "They're going for my head and they're doing it intentionally" they probably just thought it was another hard football play.

Now the coaches?  Watching that poo from the sideline?  Sitting on their hands waiting to "review the tape"?  I got nothin'.

This is what I'm still pissed off about. Was Rivera blind during the game? That was inexcusable.

I know Greg looked legit concerned after that last hit. He's always stood up for Cam. I think the team is going to rally around Cam after this even more. As unfortunate as it is, Cam has shown he's the toughest cat in the league.

I still wish Rivera would have done more, though.

He did. He walked over to him and checked on him as well as spoke out. Love that TD spoke out too. Waiting on Kalil who always comes to Cam's defense. But you're right. I think if I'm the Oline, at this point it's anything goes. They're not gonna let him take these hits. I'm disappointed in Rivera and the whole front office.

I don't think Cam is racially discriminated against. On the field. But I do think the officials discriminate against his size, skillset, and attitude. I can imagine quite a few of them don't like the added work load of monitoring his celebrations and trash talking. Nor breaking up the altercations that start from them. So in that way I could see them feeling justified in holding their flags. This sort of vigilantism happens all the time on the field. Even offensive lineman admit to letting their QBs takes a big hit if their assholes.

Hellz to the fug yeah.  I agree with Mr. Newton completely and hope he calls out the goon in front office who lets a MVP get blasted and just shrugs his fuging shoulders…"that one play should have been flagged" slime not worthy of being poo in my ass.  Still pissed off and getting more pissed the longer this goes unacknowledged.  Some serious fines better fuging be levied and suspensions.

Man, i wish Cecil was my dad, lol.  Dude is awesome.  But, see what the NFL did though?  We all expected if we could garner enough support for Cam and bring enough attention to what essentially was a conspiracy to injure our QB that Denver, the refs, and the league office were all a part of, then the NFL couldn't ignore it.  We were right.  But, what they did was turn around and put the spotlight on us as though we didnt protect Cam.  No, NFL.  YOU DIDNT PROTECT CAM, AND YOU KNOW IT.  Now, they're changing the scope and the focus of the problem instead of being accountable for it, they plan on us taking the fall for them as an organization.

The more i see from the nfl, the less i believe in the product.

So, what theyre saying is, "look, we're gonna sit here and encourage and enable another team to beat the living poo out of your qb, simply because we dont like him or you.  We hope he's seriously injured and it would make this whole thing easier for everyone involved...  wait, he isn't built like these other marshmallow ass qbs?  He is a fuging machine?  He wont fold or break?  Welp, you shoudve taken him out like he was injured, because thats what we planned!  So, now we're gonna punish you for not letting us really injure him!"

This poo is like the fuging twilight zone.  I would laugh if it wasnt so fuging absurd.

Rallying is great.   Blocking successfully would be better

    • Then don't tune in. It's really not a hard concept to understand, if your making your decision based on your own personal needs/feelings as opposed to what is best for the future of the franchise, then it's a you problem, not a Panthers problem. When the season is already lost, every fan should be rooting for the same thing.  The team plays hard until the final whistle of the season and keeps improving as a team and individually, but in the end, we still come up short and lose games, and preferably because the other team beat us, not because we screwed up and found a way to lose due to our own fault. Look at it this way... If we are up 1 or 2 points with 3 seconds left in the game and the other team is lining up for a FG.  Beyond the joy of victory or the disappointment of defeat, what impact does the other team making or missing the FG have on our team the following season? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING Except where we draft and what teams we play due to our finish in the division. The players and coaches on the team would have the exact same level of improvement and learnings about themselves individually and as a team whether the FG is made or missed.  The ONLY difference in the end is the record in the standings and if the win or loss number changes. If you want to argue if making the playoffs to lose in the first round or just missing them is better or worse, that's totally fair and I can at least understand the other side of it.  But in what is already a lost season, if you're not hoping your team plays well but ends up losing, then you're cutting off your nose to spite your face.  You're hoping for a moment of happiness at the detriment of the franchise's future, and in turn, you're basically then happy for a moment to only set yourself up for future further disappointment.
    • If we’re eliminated I want the wins more.   The season is already a disappointment and if I’m not pulling for wins why bother to tune in?
    • Two things terribly wrong with this post. First is that not one time has myself or anyone else agreeing with me said that the team themselves should think that way or try and lose for positioning.  Never once have I suggested the team should purposefully lose games, ever.  I honestly can't understand why people keep saying this in posts, not one fan has ever said the players should or would purposefully try to lose. And second, is yes, that has happened and it's happened very recently.  The 2020 Bengals were 4-11-1 and then were playing in the SB the very next season.   And while it might have been 2 years later and they didn't quite get to the SB, the 2021 Lions were 3-13-1 and then the 2023 Lions were up 24-7 at halftime of the NFC Championship game. The season between those two? They finished 9-8 and only just missed the playoffs. Which is why I keep trying to compare us to the Lions in where we are at in our re-build.  Throw out Bryce's rookie year with the Reich staff who just didn't work out and he looked god awful.   This past season when we were 5-12 in Canales' 1st season is that 2021 season for the Lions and their 1st season under Campbell.  This year is their 2022 where they grew a ton and Campbell's culture building was clear, where I'm saying we'd likely be better off in the long run if we go 8-9 or 9-8 and just miss out on the playoffs (which is still a significant improvement from last year).  Then our 2026 is their 2024 when we have a chance to be a real contender after adding a few more pieces and our key players having another year of experience under their belts.
