Anyone else doesn't fully trust Gano?

I'm more upset about the lackadaisical attitude our coaches had about getting down to field goal range.  We never seemed to be in a hurry to get as close as possible. If I remember correctly, it seems like we wasted a solid 25-30 seconds with a Tolbert run for a few yards.

The Coaches seem to think that 50 yard field goals are automatic. This same thing happened against Atlanta a few years back at home.

Agree with this as well. I was in the bar screaming, "let's go let's go, let's speed it up" and it seemed like they were in no rush

We played very poorly in Denver

Oline, Dline, CB's, S, Special teams and coaching.  Still a 1 point game at the home of the Super Bowl Champs.

3 days of threads on getting rid of everyone.  If Gano had made the kick, everyone would be all rosy

1st season for you guys?

Obviously everyone would be rosy if he made the kick in the clutch, which he is supposed to do. But it cost us a win. If this isn't your first season you know how precious letting a win slip away is after you've left your heart and soul on the field for 55:55.

The Panthers had to overcome so much, harsh environment, a tough opponent playing outside the rules enabled by the officials as well their own poor play at times. And they did and were in a position to win. People are simply frustrated.

He's fine. I still trust him. He's a good kicker. Good kickers sometimes miss one or screw up in a clutch situation. Ol' reliable Kasay for us had that oops in the Superb owl. But he also won a lot of games for us en route the Houston that year.

Gano will win us a number of games en route to Houston this year. He had his oops. We're good to go now that it's out of the way.

P.S. The sky isn't falling, quit trying to get rid of everyone not named Cam.

Unfortunately the game has passed Graham by.

Graham wasn't brought in to be a reliable clutch kick winner as John Kasay was (comparing the two is lolworthy and indicative that you haven't been around very long)

Graham was brought in to reliably win the field position battle. To put the ball on the 20 every single time. And for a couple years, he did that.

The game has changed though. The rules have changed, and reliably putting the ball on the 20 isn't what teams need.  Graham isn't going anywhere this season, but he needs to show he can grow and become an accurate ace or he won't be here next year. His standing skill set simply isn't valuable anymore. He's not off to a great start.

I trust Gano to miss at 56+, be 50/50 from 50-55 and make just about everything from 49 and under. He has the leg but its like the voices in his head screw with him once a kick gets out to a certain length. That kick on Thursday night was a gorgeous kick.... minus the fact that it was about 5 yards left of the target. Good hold, good snap, good kick, good distance... but that extra couple of yards gets into his head and he never gets the left/right adjustments down.

Gano made the iced kick, but it was close to the right. I'm assuming Gano decided he needs to hook to the left. But he shouldn't even had worried about that first kick, it was obvious a game of that magnitude they were going to call timeout, it's like a practice kick

It's about confidence too. He didn't look confident at all. My biggest worry with him is his kicks being blocked. We can definitely upgrade
