Panthers look strong after week 1

After watching nearly all the games so far, not an over-reaction to say we looked the best out of the NFC title challengers.

Green Bay struggled against a slightly better Jags team that managed to move the ball quite well against a bad GB secondary.

Seattle's O Line nearly got Wilson killed again and they Jesus-juiced their way past a Miami team that could do nothing on offense.

Cardinals cardinaled their way to a Jimmy G loss at home. I really think these guys are turning into the Bungals of the NFC, they can't seem to handle any pressure as a team.

Vikings relied on the self destrcution of the Titans to score two defensive touchdowns but couldnt get a rungame going. Defence does look scary so TBC if Bradford shows up.

Dallas and Giants - Lol defense. Lol Terrence Williams. Dak and Zeke did just enough to let the Off-Season hype live on another week or 2.

All in all the NFC actually looked a bit weak compared to the the AFC and the Panthers looked the pick of the bunch given we were playing at Mile High. As mentioned in another thread, the fact we came out injury free is a massive plus (gutted for Keenan Allen).

How are we going to stop the NFCS pass attacks?

I'm not that worried about the Falcons or Bucs, Although the Bucs Linebackers looked good against the run, most of their plays came on some pretty basic defensive mistakes. Alot of dump offs went a long way with blown tackles for both teams.

Saints O line actually looks better and I fear we're gonna be in shoot outs for a while with the Saints which could go either way. But with their defence they're not gonna be able to win more than 8 games in total this season.

Difficult to say anything negative about Winston.  I was able to stream part of the game.  He throws a mean deep ball.  Great touch on two of those TDs.  (Granted it was against Altanta's Defense)

I still think man for man we have the best and deepest team.

We don't have CBs that can matchup with Julio or Evans.   Even if you don't love their QB play the mismatch presented at WR is huge.  And we can't stop Brees with what we got.

IMO Cam is a lot better than years ago but I think we go back to asking way too much of an offense each week

Its a mixture with Evans, he threw a few questionable ones early too and the int to Trufant. Also had a lot of time against a Falcons D that looks as toothless as ever. Looks like Koetter has the Bucs on the right track but don't know if they're the real deal just yet.

Tough to judge how good or bad any team is based on the first game of the season. After next week, you can do a bit of comparison analysis.

On the Pats/Cards game, though, I can say the Patriots prove that good coaching can overcome a lot. Hate to see the Pats win, but Belichik is the hands down best coach of this generation. He will be mentioned like Lombardi someday.

We're going to really have to be ready before we meet them in Houston this coming February.

You need a new bit CRA, you've playing this same broken tape recorder all off-season. Not many teams have the Cornerbacks to matchup Julio or Evans and yet the Bucs and Falcons are not near the top of the NFC. If they can handle our D Line and still make the big plays you see them make against scrub defences then I'll say we have a problem. Until then, find a new record.

We went on the road against the defending Super Bowl champs, who already matched up well against our offense, and against a QB for whom we had no tape, and had a solid chance to win it at the end.  I think we looked good based on that.

I'm not afraid of any of the NFCS teams.  We may drop a couple in the division, but to score you have to have the ball, and none of them showed enough on defense yesterday to keep that happening consistently.
