NFL sets standard for defense

After all that went on Thursday and NFL doing nothing.

Just watched Tyrod Taylor get blasted in the helmet here in the 3rd in a close game after Bills make a come back.

No flag and the Official pulled Taylor out of the game.  Setting up a 3 and out with the backup QB. Guess NFL just proved if you can't stop the QB just nail him in the head. Now wonder if this will work with Brees, Rogers, and Brady

luckily Taylor is back in.

so much for the NFL player safety smh

Shady took a shot going out of bounds that was similar to Cam's head shot.

That makes perfect sense. If it was helmet to helmet then the defensive player was hit in the head too. If the protocol is preventative and regardless of symptoms, then they should both be checked out. Unless your size influences if you get a concussion rather than looking at it as a combined forces issue.

Helmet to helmet hits are  back in the NFL. Use them to win. I guarantee you the SB champion will be a head shotting SoB when the game is on the line.

How many players can you remove from the game with the concussion protocol? They sure will not flag them.

Anyone who believes the NFL cares about player safety is fooling themselves. I do not care about any off field program if the NFL fails to enforce it on the field and keep the teams honest. Awarding teams advantages and wins for using head shots while improving the technology of helmets is flat out stupid.

Nah man, the same rule applies like a head butt in the movies. It doesn't hurt the guy that does it, only the one it's being done to. Ha

I didnt see anything wrong with the way they hit Taylor

The hits didn't look like a Launch hit like the Steward and Marshall more like the one from Von Miller.  But as much as they pump player safety.  And they don't flag a high hit like they would Brady and Brees. It won't keep players from holding back not thinking twice about making a head shot that could take someone out.

So you thought those hits should have been flagged?  I really didnt see anything wrong with them at all.  I didnt think they were high hits.  I thought Taylor lowered his head like a running back and the defense tackled him like they should have.  I didnt think Von should have been penalized either.  I would hate for one of our guys to be flagged for any plays like Von's or the ones from last night.

      It's crazy with how much winning was going on when we had a little cool off period that we're still just a couple games out of 6th. Moussa is getting better every week and Coby is getting comfortable. Would be nice to get to 6 but I think this team is a lot more stacked than the last couple play ins. I can't remember the exact rules but if you're 7th seed and win the first game I think you automatically move on and don't have to play the second game?

      I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice.  2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that?  He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things.  Needs a good draft.

      K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.
