Panthers may be winning, but fans still acting like losers

Only thing I was disappointed in was the crowd noise on defense, when we weren't instructed to make noise by the Jumbo-tron. It was one of the hottest games I've been to. I'm beet red today, and the heat was energy-sapping. Overall I thought it was a pretty good showing by the fans on a really hot day, early in the season, during a game that was only a nail-biter for a few minutes in the 3rd. The stadium crew played Sweet Caroline with over three minutes to play left in the 4th! I guess they were thinking about heading out early as well.

49er fans were all pretty nice. I know a lot of people want to build a hostile environment for opposing fans, but personally I'm proud of the fact that people can bring their kids to games in an opposing stadium without constantly worrying about them getting trampled under a drunken fan brawl.

PSL owners can get offended by this as much as they would like, but we don't have a fan culture that correlates with the recent success of this team. Packers, Chiefs, Pats, Hawks, Cowboys, Steelers put us to shame

I agree our fan base is pretty pathetic but Cowboys fans suck. Look at this game against the 49ers from a few years ago in Jerry World. I wish Panther fans wouldn't sell out so much to opposing fans. It's embarrassing and pathetic but that's just the way it is.dfdabba9f43ff3595fcd870b3ff6bf5b.jpg

Again... it's nice to sit and point fingers when you're at the top of the castle. It was MISERABLY hot today, I had to take a bathroom break 5 times to put water on my head and my balls were stuck to my left leg the entire game

I bought two $5 bottles of water just to dump on my head during the game. My balls were stuck to my right leg.

Need more 4pm games.

Some people have babysitters and can't just hang out for 10 hrs.

I'm long over the stay till all zeroes on the scoreboard shows up song and dance. Game was in control for a while. Bust on those that never show instead of those that do and roll out early.

I have to pay a sitter that was at my house from 8am-5:30pm. That's a $100 babysitting bill.

Last year against Houston was worse for sure.

That being said what is the purpose in complaining about our fans? I'm there every week, I lose my voice every time and I left with 2 minutes left yesterday and DONT care that some guy from his living room is upset about the atmosphere.

Btw I thought this thread was going to be written by some 49er fan I talked a bunch of poo to(tastefully and in  good fun).

The whole premise that the culture hasnt changed is pretty much crap.  I have gone to all the home games forever and I can tell you that the stadium rocks these days.  Sure when we had a 21 point lead with 12 minutes left a bunch of folks left but that was shortsighted.  I guess no one remembered all the comebacks we let happen last year.  This team does take the foot off the gas at times when we have a big lead.  But like yesterday, when things get close, they put the hammer down and go full tilt.  Do I wish they wouldnt let teams back in the game  Yep.  But I wish I had wings too and that aint happening so I am just grateful we won.   And I thought the crowd did a good job all things considered.

    • It's just a talking head.  Talking about gambling. If anybody takes the under on 4.5 wins, they're most likely losing their money.   So he's only saying if you want to bet on a possible sleeper, take the over.  It's not rocket science.  Pathetic that so many on the huddle have reduced themselves to posting purely trash every time they hit the submit button.
    • I mean I think the best case scenario has to hit for the Panthers and everyone else in the NFCS has to hit their worst case scenario.  Personally, I think this is the year that NO finally collapses and I think they finish 4th in the division regardless.  ATL is overrated but still likely a 6-9 win team. TB plays tough football, their defense will be there but their success depends on the offense, they too are a 6-9 win team.  The Panthers are probably 4-6 wins at best. If they find some sort of momentum during the season and get 7-8 wins, and TB and ATL struggle then maybe but I find it very unlikely.
    • We screwed up a couple years ago taking Bryce in the first place.  Nobody held a gun to our head to jump from #9 to #1.  Most people who keep up with draft news knew this 2024 QB class was loaded and we should have waited, which I advocated. It was a dumb move and I knew it.  Now we have to roll with Bryce another year.  That's fine, because this 2025 class isn't that great.  I like Ewers, but not super high on him.  If Bryce shows improvement, which I think he will, that should get him at least one more season before we have to decide on if he's the permanent answer or not.  I've said before, the 2026 draft is the next window for a franchise QB if Bryce isn't the answer. Bryce gets this year and next at a minimum.
