Teams that the Panthers have lost to are a combined 11-1

So for some good news, the teams we lost to so far are a combined 11-1 among them are the only two 4-0 teams in the NFL right now in the Vikings and Broncos.   And the leagues best offense in Atlanta.

bad news is we are 1-3, good news is we were probably 3 combined plays(missed kick-Denver, kick return and KB block in the back-Vikings) from beating the two best teams in the league right now.

We aren't a bad team, but we are also a team that does have some issues. Some answers are easier then others but I yhink it's safe to say schedule wise the worst is behind us now. It's time to right the ship guys!

This is a worthwhile point to be made.

How far you take it though I guess depends on if you are a glass half full or a glass half empty kind of person.

Irregardless of the records of the teams we lost to, our defense has been absolutely gashed 4 weeks in a row, and we haven't played against an elite QB yet.

Add in the OL woes, and a sidelined Jonathan Stewart on top of a concussed Cam Newton, and there is certainly plenty to be concerned about.

Gashed? Hardley, we were a top 5 defense in total yards till last week, and if not for special teams and offense spotting the other team points we would have been top 10 in points as well.  Atlanta is our only bad game on defense, offense and ST's have been the biggest issue till Atlanta.

Not saying we don't have issues, just keeping it real.

The mindset of hanging our hat on things like statistical rankings in the face of tough losses has netted us exactly zero back to back winning seasons as a franchise.

Gotta change the rationale at some point.

C'mon Doc, no cherry picking.  We have all been far too guilty of that in season's past.  We're not sure yet if Atlanta is an anomaly or the new expectation...

I agree that it's not the worst 1-3 ever, but even an optimist had to see how poorly we played in gigantic stretches this season.  Until that gets fixed, there's no way we can put a positive spin on things.

I don't mind us losing as long as the guys are playing hard.  Right now, I'm not seeing that effort across the board.  It just seems like portions of the team are content to collect pay checks.  Or that magically they will be in the Super Bowl again.  This is fairly alarming as a fan.

    • 3rd and Chandler Zavala.......... Id toss in Yohsi or Brano/DJ Johnson if that's what it took to get the trade done.    Bungals need OL B-A-D   Its un-godly to treat a unique HOF level level like Burrow with the OL they have and seems going to this year. People forgot during that bungal SB year, Burrow was sacked like 62 times and I believe had the highest hurries as well. They should be in jail for this, no memeing....
    • I will admit this- Kon doesn't look or play like a 19 year. Much bigger and filled out than I thought he was. Plus initiate the offense during his best quarter and he did make some good passes for FG attempts.   I watch NBA years ago and was a top 3 fantasy yahoo managers for years. Many times a player had like 30 points, it mostly came from one or 2 hot quarters. The others were 5 and 0, so his 16 point game is normal in that regard.    If Ball, bridges, and Miller allow Kon to be apart of the team, just depends on if he clicks of not. Another generic white guy comp popped in my head........he of hornet lore-Gordon Hayward 15 points 5 rebs 3.5 asst Maybe??
