Agree but I feel good about Oher & WIlliams combo, my dream scenario would be Gary Barnidge & Joe Haden. Barnidge deal would  help OT's, RBs & while giving Cam another weapon. Haden of coruse  would be a great mentor for the rookies and  frees up the saftey for blitz, double coverage ,etc.

Aaahhhh, Barnidge. He's another one that people seem reluctant to admit that the FO and coaching fuged up on.

Within that same vein,  every time I see Willie Snead do well, I kinda roll my eyes also.  How in the hell did we let such a good route runner just slip through our fingers?  Nice talent that doesn't hit the wallet too hard, Barnidge and Snead gone!

This is just sad. Why couldn't they have just kept Norman and Bene and drafted an edge rusher or tackle or anything but a depth DT.

What I was hoping and calling for the entire time between the Super Bowl and the draft, so upset with this year's draft.

I'm wondering if the Panthers organization will continue to ignore the lack of DE production if we get next to nothing from them for most of two seasons in a row , you'd think that's enough for them to draft one or get one in FA.

Keeping Norman would've not made them be all worried about conerbacks and drafted players with more value for the team overall.

If we have the cap room then giving up multiple picks including a first rounder for those guys would be reasonable in my opinion.

Hayden is 1.5 years younger than Norman. Probably more physical of a player. Contract is cheaper.

Thomas is 32ish? So a little older but still should have a few years left.

We've got multiple NFL all pro players in their prime. Just pay the price and go win a freaking super bowl in the next 3 years. If you do that then giving up the picks is worth it.

    • Not many people talking about DT, but we have a need.  (DE)  Now this guy is a NT like Brown III
    • But is it about letting Bryce develop or about winning games? Bryce has not been good enough to be an uncontested starter. He just hasn't. How many times has last drive Bryce shown up for 4 entire quarters? Once in 3 seasons? You aren't going to win 9 or 10 one score games every season year in and year out. You may want Bryce in the last 2 minutes. I want that Bryce the full 60.  No one is saying you have to give up on him, but bringing in another QB that can do anything is not hindering Bryce. It helps the team and that's where the focus needs to be. If drafting Sadiq to plague the middle of the field would help out offense, but Bryce struggles to get pass into the middle of the field, is Sadiq a bad pick? Or could he be a good pick with a better option at QB? We can't be afraid to improve. QB, TE, OL, LB, DL, CB, S. It doesn't matter. The goal is SBs, not 5 to 8 years seeing waiting to see if Bryce can develop while the rest of the league keeps passing us by.  Sadiq is a nice option, but I think we have to address tackle if one we like is there because we are painfully thin after this year, a LB to general the field, and a true ball hawking safety that can set the tone in the secondary. Those 3 positions are bigger game changers than a TE that will likely struggle to make a round 1 impact in this offense.
    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
