The built in excuse and the pay off....

I have lost

respect for Rivera and his foxlike 'the other team practices too'

what is the message he is trying to send as the Panthers could not beat Siemen who had never started a game or Bradford the journeyman or Winston

just shut up ron

more respect for you to just say we aren't good enough right now

btw Ron. You are PAID to beat Drew Brees

I think Ron is a good coach but this years team is beyond him for whatever reason.  Offense did play good today but our defense is awful.  It seems like Gettleman wants to play with players in there rookie contracts and not pay anyone afterwards.

I guess at this point it would be futile to trade for anything.  You have to figure 9-7 would be the bare minimum for getting a wildcard and that would require an 8-2 run.  However I am not the type that wants to tank just to get a high pick.  I hope we play with some spark and build for next year.

if we trade for secondary help like Haden or quality starter this team can go 11-0 with a healthy Bradberry.

I didn't even celebrate when we tied the game. I knew the defense couldn't hold it

And I knew we didn't run enough time off the clock. Of course Brees is going to get into FG range with that much time. Situational awareness is not Ron's strong point.

What about Matt Ryan?

Not just Ryan and Brees but the 3 other QBs (Not Winston) had their better games against this defense. People were saying that if Gabbert looked above average against us you can only imagine what starting caliber NFL QBs would do.

You guys really want a coach that calls out his players for being garbage and his GM for giving him garbage players? He's being diplomatic.

Wasnt there a thread about a month ago on here talking sh*t about Bruce Arians for doing just that?

Ron is never going to do that.

If you didnt want a hall of fame QB going off on our defense...dont throw out a bunch of fuging rookies and unproven corners and say that you want to see what they have.

Ron isn't in charge of personnel and he said just a couple of days ago "they are who we have and we have to play with them."

    • Dan and Dave have been saying over and over; "we want a competitive team".  It is past time for the QB "leader" to do what everyone else is doing. I think, I mean if its me....Im not counting on BY to save my job.  This coming year is one of those fork path super different deals for not only the team but many Panthers, coaches, and staff.  If BY isn't "him", and Panthers win 3 games..... whole new everything minus owner is incoming. About the only safe player would be dbrown and maybe tmac...
    • interesting point.  going to think about it because I have not up to this point.
    • Lloyd Cushenberry   FACenter#79 Titans released C Lloyd Cushenberry. Cushenberry was one of several marquee signings by the Titans from the 2024 offseason. He landed a four-year, $50 million deal after playing out his rookie deal with the Broncos. Much like most of their other moves from that spending spree, this one failed to pay off. Cushenberry was graded as a bottom-five center by Pro Football Focus in both of his seasons in Tennessee. He should still be able to land a starting job, though his next team will be paying him far less than the Titans did.
