Blandino promises all QBs will be treated the same

Blandino admits missed roughing call on Newton

“This is something we’ve heard before from other players,” Blandino said, “and we obviously don’t take player safety concerns lightly. And we review every play from every game with an eye for player safety, and we’ve done that all year.”

Blandino said that the league will address with the officials the missed call in order to “make sure that all of our quarterbacks are protected the same way under the rules.”

The NFL hasn’t said it publicly yet, but the NFL’s position is that all quarterbacks are protected — or not — equally. From a P.R. standpoint, however, it’s hard to push back against Newon’s arguments that he’s not getting protected as well as other quarterbacks by saying, essentially, “We’re screwing things up way worse with other quarterbacks, Cam.”

The league has every incentive to protect quarterbacks from illegal hits. Without healthy quarterback, NFL games will become less interesting — and the ratings will implode even more. So the best answer to the problem will be to insist that referees protect quarterbacks properly. If, for whatever reason, that can’t be done adequately in real time, the league needs to find a way to rectify any errors via replay review.

they pretty much have to do something now, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Doing something is an admission they weren't doing something they should of...

NFL doesn't seem to be "about that life".  I suspect NFL teams will continue to get away with more than they should

This is coming from a guy that tweeted #dezcaughtit Sunday night.  He has no self awareness and I doubt anything will actually change.  Cam will probably get hit and it won't be flagged and he'll tweet #shouldhavebeenapenalty .

fug that guy

He really is a clueless dumbass. Watch his lame ass segments on NFLN. When he's not sounding like an idiot he's on Jerry's bus slamming boxed wine.

    • Think the "official time" put out was 4.48, but there were a lot of scouts there who of course all had difference times as it's all handed timed by them.  Think I saw it as low as 4.43 and as high as 4.62 or something, but in the end it's all basically the same speed because 40 yard dash is so pointless. Anyone who complains about his speed is just someone who wants a Chase/Jefferson/Nabers style #1 as opposed to an Evans style #1 who isn't going to beat you because of his speed but his other abilities. In the end, he's fast enough for a player his size and surprisingly quicker and more agile than people give him credit for too. The real problem is that Panthers fans can't get our past big WR failures out of their head, they hear "big WR" and automatically see a plodding KB or Jarrett in their minds and assume that's also T-Mac.
    • If you are buying Silver Club, 300 level, try and the buy ones that have the Lot 1 parking pass.  it is steps to the stadium Also, buy on the shade side my PSls used to be section 342, under the overhang.  I didnt care about sun or rain plenty of sites have interactive  maps that can show you   Just know, if they are opposite side of 342, the sun will beat on your head…endzones too.   if, you know for sure that you are going, and you need a hotel room, do it now  you can always cancel … remember, even if the panthers suck,  the national press follows them as do their fans.  Hotel rooms go fast for that game
    • didn't he run like a 4.52?
