Voth suggests Shula could be replaced

Well they will definitely need scapegoats...Rivera will have to throw someone into the fire 

Voth also reported that Shula lobbied that teams would catch up to what they did last year and wanted the organization to provide talent for him to switch things up this year (he lobbied for the 2nd rec TE tonbe added so he can run legit 2 TE sets but our FO made no moves to improve either side of our team for 2016

instead we added a DT and tore our secondary apart 

offense isn't broken...our OL is broke.  Better OCs than Shula can't actually fix what we are forced to use of late

Im sure the Assistant to the Assistant of the equipment staff will be let go as the main culprit to this bad season.  That will definitely right the ship for next year.  Shula will stay in place as a 'great asset' to Rivera.

well, football coaches are suppose to get leads and then play in a manner to keep leads.

Panthers don't have the talent to do such.

Carolina gets a lead and either attempts to play with a lead (offensive talent can't) or is then forced to continue to play high risk football (which can lead to easy opportunities for an opponent)

Carolina's D is largely responsibile for our bad start and we have now won 3 of the last 4.  So our current record simply is more of a result of the defense.... but that type thought ain't popular.  Team will need a scapegoat and giving a fanbase what they want is the easy and obvious option for them.  

They sacrifice Shula and the fans will gloss over the FO disaster that put us in the hole to begin with and failed to improve the overall team.

I am absolutely just about the last guy to stick up for Shula. But his second half antics aside, he wasn't tasked with assessing our offensive tackle situation in the offseason, only to declare that we're good after watching Newton get harassed for most of the Super Bowl. Only to watch it again, and again, and again since.

I will not forgive our FO for the 2016 offseason. It's put up or shut up next year as far as I'm concerned.

But I have long endorsed the notion Ron would scapegoat coaches....once we are out of it

Dave ain't gonna take it on the chin (and he IMO remains the most responsible for the drop from 2015)....so he will look to Ron to explain it

but Shula is like reason #3 we are not good and removing him doesn't change the other more impactful reasons for the drop off

      We agree here dawg. I'd love for Bryce to succeed as would all huddlers. I have not seen a single huddler hate Bryce for anything other than his play on the field / potential / skillset. He hasn't gotten any of the irrational hate having nothing to do with football that Cam got. And yeah I understood going into this season with Bryce again as there weren't a ton of options, but man we missed the fuging mark on upgrading at backup QB with someone who could actually push Bryce. Bryce had zero pressure on him with a 100% washed up Dalton being the only other NFL caliber QB in the system. That absolutely needs to change this offseason. Ideally with an actual starter upgrade but that seems extremely unlikely due to not having many FA options and a bad draft. But at the very least with someone like you mentioned, young/upside and/or day 3 pick in the draft.   Another note, we have a top paid and top performing OL, great young talent at WR incl. likely OROY, great RB group, average all around TE group, offensive coach with creativity in the system and good play designs (poor situational playcalling but still I put out current offensive coaching staff over Shula who held Cam back for instance). Not the absolute best situation for a QB to be in, but still a very good situation around him. And yet we have a bottom 8 offense (6th lowest points scored). Imagine taking a victory lap for a QB leading his team to the 6th lowest points scored in the league and the 22nd highest passer rating (despite being asked to do less than many other QBs; i.e. Bo Nix who isn't great either and has a slightly lower passer rating but Sean Payton actually lets him try to throw the ball deep and has him throw significantly more than Bryce). Crazy

      similar to Atlanta and the NHL.  Atlanta has lost two NHL teams (and lost a minor leaguer).  Now there's another coalition pulling together another proposal for Atlanta to get an NHL expansion. While I'd like hockey to be back in Atlanta 'cause hockey is fun, I am skeptical that it'll happen based on previous teams' experience here alternatively: similar to Atlanta hosting a Major Tennis Tournament in advance of the US Open every mid/late summer.  Aside from the fact that Atlanta is said to be the country's largest Tennis playing city (with both USTA and ALTA, along with a number of side leagues) - playing tennis outdoors in Atlanta summer is miserable *and* they had difficulty attracting players... ticket sales were not good. So the Atlanta Open closed after 14 years.  They just couldn't make it happen, even if for all intents it appears to be massive tennis interest in the surrounding area.

      So I saw where Luke was doing that show parallel to the game. Whatever it was, statcast something something, knew it would be a good watch. I don’t get ESPN any more but that would be one of the about few things I would watch outside of games.     He doesn’t fool around on the radio broadcast.
