This team is soft

We are the exact same team as last year, minus notable talent at key positions.

Nobody had anybody pushing them for their jobs. Guysbwho were brought in midway through late season as Band-Aids were given starting jobs.

Dave though love and friendship and camaraderie and tenure and being fiscally frugal would replicate last year's success. Either that, or he simply doesn't know what he's looking at, or wanted to make sure any success happpend with "his guys."

None of the guys who carried us to a super bowl last year were Gettleman guys. The more Dave's players rise in role positions on this team, the worse we look.

This team is soft because Rivera is a bitch and Richardson bends to the league at will.

I was going to say it starts with Ron, but I intentionally left it out but this is true. I dont even take Ron serious when I see him mad or yelling. His 1st two seasons here as HC, he showed absolutely no emotion and I was so ready for the Panthers to can his ass as well as everybody else so please dont front. The man doesn't demand the best from his coaches and players

Oh horseshit. Ealy was our SB MVP. Short and Star were phenomenal in the middle. Coleman was an all-pro. Norwell and Turner anchored the line with Kalil. Shaq blanketed Fitz in the NFC Championship. I'm not even going to go any further.

The only key loss this year was Norman and Bradberry has done very well as a fill in.

Sorry, but we got lucky and Cam played great last year. Our coaching and players are playing awful this year. We've had tons of injuries too.

I'm done even entertaining this crap, as most panther fans are starting to as well.

The determined apologist remarks in spite of the obvious playing before us just looked absurd at this point.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
