Sorry, but your point is invalid. Tolbert is a guy under contract. Henry is a 2nd round pick.

Yes, we all would love to turn back time.  But like Cher, we're stuck in the here and now. Hindsight is 20/20, and it's easy at this point in the season to make threads.

Yea but we where in need of a 2 TE for about 2 1/2 years, this issue cant be ingored especially with JAG OTs.

We did go 17-2 with those starting OTs last season.  I don't disagree at all that we needed a TE upgrade over Dickson.  But comparing Hunter Henry with Mike Tolbert from an opportunity standpoint doesn't make any sense.

I see your point. I see his in that we passed on Greg Olsen that year when all the pundits thought Olsen was our guy.

Starting to hear stuff now like Shula having wanted a TE in the draft. He mad

EITHER Henry would have significantly helped us more this year and the future than a DT who's now a heatlhy scratch and not even involved in gameplans.

Still, I don't see what Henry has to do with Tolbert. Tolbert would still be on the roster whether either were drafted and would still be stealing snaps. Which goes on to a whole different point, why TF is this coaching staff so fixated on not only keeping washed up, useless vets, but also giving them signifcant snaps?

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
