Honestly this is more believable than the tie thing. The tie story seemed a bit off and stupid. This would actually make sense. Cam can't be going to strip clubs as the face of the franchise and on top of that bringing teammates is also not a good sign.

"bringing teammates is also not a good sign"....

You mean the grown ass men who are more than capable of making their own decisions? Or did Cam, being the big bad meanie that he is, force them to go watch women dance while topless?

Ron wanted them to take the trip seriously and study the opponent and not sweaty ta ta's instead. We're going to the Raiders and Seahawks not "West Coast Y'all !!! Woot woot!"

Going to a strip club or any club does not mean you don't take your job serious. If that's the case, Stew's RB mall trip should've been punished too, because this was serious and all.

Yeah. If going to the strip club is like going to McDonalds for a guy. When people are about to get fired things get more sensitive. Everything is pressure driven.

Some guys are always "loose" and it may drive somebody under pressure crazy at some point. The pretty "C" on the uniform comes with more expectations than that of a regular guy.

LMAO so they can't have fun because the coaching staff jobs are on the line? LOL. These are grown men, with children. They do their jobs, they are allowed to have fun. Whether it's your thing or not is a matter of personal opinion, but it's not in any NFL manual or a team policy that they can't visit a strip club if they want to. Nobody came in after curfew, nobody got arrested, nobody embarrassed themselves, their families and the team. Visiting a strip club is not a big deal. Ron is not their dad and unless stated in the Panthers handbook that they can not, under any circumstances, visit a strip club there is no harm. So please tell me, which rule was broken (if this were true and all)?

I haven't read this entire thread, but I'm worried we've hitched our wagon to someone who's not a leader.

I don't know what Cam does day-in and day-out, but I worry he's not taking his job seriously.

He's regressed. Big time.

The problem is, with Cam, he's such a freak of a talent... like we've never seen before. He's been able to coast at times, relying on pure talent. He's your supermodel girlfriend who has halitosis and vaginosis.

We're stuck with him. But we're not stuck with Ron. I hear all the time that Ron is a great guy... but at the end of the day we can fire a coach a lot easier than a 100+ million QB.

Either find an offensive-coach who's PROVEN or trade Cam.

A great guy dont always equal a great coach. The problem is the organization lead by the owner. The culture of the organization and the culture they want does not mix well with the identity that the team needs. You want hard hitting smash mouth football, but want blue coller players that dont go to strip clubs, and do things they consider fun me time. Letting the players be free to be the men they are will give you the repect you desire. This is not the only problem thats going on and really not even a big issue they blowing it up to be.

    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
