Yeah I'm watching our draft position very closely.  A marked amount of movement can happen in these last couple of weeks, but suffice it to say that those hoping for us to lose to raise our draft position likely will be getting coal in their stockings this year.

At this point, you can probably kiss the top O-linemen and/or top DBs goodbye.  Fournette is still in play in my estimation.

Like I stated before we're picking in the teens. This team always has moral victories in December when they are out of the playoffs and always distances themseselves from a top ten pick. That's annoying as hell when you have a chance to actually better your team with a higher pick. Playing spoiler to the skins is fun though. I guess Josh Norman spoke too soon about who's going to the playoffs. lol.

Yes the team needs an infusion in several places and odds are they will have a top 15 pick...I am sure there will be a DT their for Gettleman.

...but, damn, it feels great to feel great today and to see the Pamthers play great, have fun, and beat the team, and owner, and fan base that I hate more than any other AND possibly knock that team out of the playoffs.  Priceless

nothing could be finer then the silence of HTTR after a Panthers  football game.

And its going to continue to lower as I am not one for playing for draft picks.  Losing for draft picks is a loser's mentality and a losing franchise does that.  We have changed the culture of our organization.  We are out for blood and we are out to win games one to destroy playoff dreams for others and also to carry momentum into next season.  Players are playing for their jobs, future contracts, pride, and also we are playing 2 division rivals to finish the season.

Play to win the game!

Even if we lose out on top draft picks, can we do what we need in FA? Also, I don't like this whole "losing for a top pick" because as stated above, that's a loser mentality. I do not believe in tanking the season. Even missing the playoffs, finish with a .500 record and have pride.

Just now, JawnyBlaze said:

I'm less worried about draft position than I am keeping the shitty coaches that are holding us back because we managed to pull off a few late season wins like in 2013.

This is a valid concern, particularly based on Rivera's history. I've said a few times in so many words that I believe Rivera's biggest weakness is holding on to Shula for dear life, and this may just get Rivera fired. I hope Ron does the right thing (because to the dismay of many, Rivera ain't going anywhere anytime in the near future).

    • Where does Dan rank? https://www.nbcsports.com/fantasy/football/news/rotopats-2026-nfl-gm-rankings-analysis-for-all-32-teams 22. Dan Morgan, Panthers "What do you do when you have a questionable quarterback situation? Build out everything else. Although he has used each of his three first-round picks on offensive help for Bryce Young, Dan Morgan is in the middle of a two-year spending spree on defense. The off-field cash infusion led to immediate, massive on-field gains in 2025, with Carolina improving from 32nd to 16th in scoring defense. Morgan has now added EDGE Jaelan Philips and linebacker Devin Lloyd to the mix. Every little bit helps, but there is only so much you can do if you lack a long-term answer under center. For now, Morgan has equivocated when asked if Young will remain with the team following the expiration of his rookie contract. If Young’s year-over-year improvement remains modest or plateaus in 2026, it won’t be because Morgan hasn’t done everything he can to make his life easier. He has used first-round picks on a No. 1 receiver and potential long-term left tackle. He has invested in the backfield and improved the skill player depth. Morgan is making the best of an imperfect situation. That’s all he can do, but sometimes there is nothing you can do to keep your job in the NFL if the quarterback — or owner — doesn’t cooperate."
