My thoughts on Nipple Shorts presser.

Didn't see the presser, but did he really smile saying RB?

Kinda think GMan could have a boner for Fournette if so

Yea, Im pretty sure... like 89% without rewatching.

He made a clear differentiation between RB and the other perceived "deep" positions. As if he was saying "if you do not know about this RB class, you had betta ax somebody"

Sorta reminded me of how he reacted to the OBJ/Watkins/KB WR class a couple years ago.

Garrett (pipe dream I know)

Barnett

Adams

Fournette

Cook

But I'd much rather have one of the first three than one of the RBs

I think we can trade down and get Barnett or Cook. Ive seen mocks with those guys in the mid teens.

Hell, I saw one mock with us getting adams in the 1st and cook in the 2nd.

That would be ideal if we could attack DE and OT in Fa.

I just worry about more youth in the secondary... sure would prefer to check that box with a guy like Berry.

He said that he would take the BPA. I don't know how that automatically means safety.

He also specifically mentioned using "free agency to set up the draft."

People, these things can't be overstated.

Why the hell didnt anyone ask him what store we were shopping at this year???!!!

"We are gonna be smart shoppers" is the closest we got... wtf does that mean?

They could have been intimidated and forgot. Could just be me, but Dave, though his old congenial self, wasn't in the mood to take any poo today. When asked about a sense of urgency, he had the aura of a mob boss who was insulted that someone would insinuate that he wasn't taking things as seriously as he could, or should have. If he'd have been the Godfather, he may have had that reporter capped on the spot.

Yesterday, Ron seemed a tad more surly also.

They are all about business. There was a stark difference between this year's and last year's mood.

Let me refresh your memory a bit. Steve Smith was let go. The WR Corp was made up of no names. There was a huge need at WR. That draft, according to Dave, was WR heavy. What happened?  We drafted KB. Which was a need.

Year prior to that, a DT heavy draft, we end up with two DTs that were need. Hello star and KK.

Even last year. What was the need? Sure the first pick wasn't on a CB.  But the rest of the draft?

Gettleman has tipped his hat a bit each year. It's subtle. But it's there. I'm about 99.9% sure it will be a safety. The way the draft may shape up only one Safety will be available at #8. He'd be "bpa" and need. It would be a huge upgrade to Boston.

Unless someone better than Adams or Hooker fall. I just don't see us taking a RB or T.

Free agency could be used to address those other needs. T, RB,  DE.  It's all about scheme and fit. Could go either way Top Dawg.

Of course it doesn't automatically mean safety.  We're all just discussing things
