We made it to the SuperB owl with this Offense. And if not for a couple fluke plays. Just may have won that sucker. So yeah, Shula's Offense can win us a Championship.

You do realize Payton manning performance was the worst performance ever by QB in SB history?  Panthers defense was the reason we were not blown out.

People on this forum are ok with average because that's Shula offense over its history, average.  So when we do not have a back to back winning record and miss playoffs just remember that you are content with average and 8-8 record should suffice you.

we simply lacked rhythm this year. every time I finally felt we were gaining some momentum and putting a good drive together, something bad would happen. A penalty negating a big play, a dropped pass, a careless turnover, a missed assignment, etc. Or, given the circumstances, Shula would simply call the wrong play.

Last year we were so fluid on offense. Once Cam got into his groove, Shula would get into his zone and we would just coast right down the field and score. It was so methodical, and almost flawless at times, that there was nothing defenses could do.

Shula is definitely capable with the right personnel, a healthy offense, and a motivated Cam. I think we'll come back with a vengeance next year, and field a top 5 offense.

Having a healthy and stable offensive line is important. Not that Shula is blameless but that stuff matters a lot.

You claimed that we would never win a Championship with Shula at the helm. And that we would need a great D to do so. I showed you an example of where we darn near did win one with Shula.

So you come back with. Peyton played bad, and our D played great. Discounting how our Offense was 2 plays away from maybe winning that game.

I bet you would be hard pressed to find anyone who is ok with average around here. Everyone wants to win. Just because folks don't agree with your opinion, does not automatically mean they are happy with mediocrity.

We are all frustrated. Not one of us foresaw the mess this season became. And this board is bursting at the seams with that frustration. Unmet expectations are a bit(h.

Shula has his flaws, but Cam has the option to audible. Shula, and Cam work on the game-plan together. They designed this Offense around what Cam most likes to do. It really is tough to just blame Shula for our Offensive woes, when Cam is so involved.

Outside of melding Shula with Chud, it is unlikely we will change much with the Offensive Coaching Staff. And this is one of the main gripes around here. Most folks want Shula gone. Good, or bad, he probably won't be going anywhere.

We had that success due to D and Cam.

You are missing the point.

Not a chance in hell we win the NFL championship with Shula calling plays.

If winning the division and getting knocked out in the playoffs is good for you then Shula will do.

Wel...that just isn't true.  Hence the historic 15-1 season, trashing folks in the postseason on the way to the Super Bowl.

No chance in hell? WTF.  That basically means you refuse the reality of 2015.

Worse teams have won Super Bowls than that squad. Bad day for Remmers to have a bad day.  On top of that, there were bad calls.

Patriots didn't win in 2007 either.  They were the best team by far.  Poo happens.  Nothing more than that.

replay that Denver game 10 times and Carolina simply wins the majority of the time.

Need to watch more of the 31 other teams.  Shula isn't great...there are worse though. People discrediting 3 division titles....well there you go, more shitty coaches must be out there.

NFL is a talent driven league.  If you suck, your talent sucks

Can't believe this poo. Thought for sure have such a shitty year would get him the axe.

Can not envision us winning a championship with him calling plays.

Someone hold me.

Gonna repeat here what I always repeat:

The reason Mike Shula is an OC in the NFL and of Carolina in particular is this: HE IS EXACTLY THE KIND OF OC RON WANTS AND CALLS EXACTLY THE KINDS OF PLAYS RON DEMANDS.

Will we "evolve" next year under Rivera/Shula? Sure... if you consider moving from a Cro Magnon offense to a Neanderthal offense "evolution".

You ok with average...  you might be in denial but it is what it is.  You can defend Shula all you want but the dude got track record of being an average joe...  Did you know this year we had almost as many yards on offense as last year?  Shula is pretty consistent, I gotta give him that.
