With everyone getting all caught up with Dave Gettleman proclaiming that he is not going to "overdraft" in a decidedly weak class of offensive tackles, I think that it's just as important to note what Max Henson of the team's website reported, as it gives even more clarity.

"We're going to look at what tackles are available in free agency, look at what is available in the draft and see where they fit," Gettleman said. "I'm not going to overdraft, I'm not going to overpay. But we're going to attack the issue."

So there you have it! Vintage Gettleman! Sure he's not going to reach for an overvalued LT in the draft, but he's also not going to reach deeper down in his pocket than he ought, just to pay an overvalued  LT in free agency. And yet, still, we will attack the position, so look for some changes with Michael Oher's future still up in the air.

Yeah he's certainly checking off my wishlist, with his words---LT, TE, WR, DE---now we just have to hope that GettleClause delivers!

If we can just give Cam some protection, we can get back to the SB. We saw what Cam can do with and without time in the pocket and the results were 15-1 and 6-10.

Matt Kalil, watch it happen. He made the Pro Bowl once. Slowed by injury, but looked better than any OT in this draft when he came out, only 27. I'm sure some of you guys would pan it, Whitworth is old. Draft sucks, we can take a 3-5 round flier but that's a shot in the dark

If Matt Kalil is the ONLY LT acquisition, GMan must truly care more about Bob Barker's plea to help control the pet population more than the team.  Male Panther fans will have a much harder time getting and keeping an erection and fewer Panther babies will be made.
