Is Joe Mixon definitely off of our draft board?

This is awesome how all the saintly peps get on here and say Mixon is an animal for hitting a woman and you should never do it! It's wrong but in a situation like that no one can say what they would or would not do!  Spitting in your face?! Calling you a racial slur?! Hitting you?! Yeah all of you saints would have told her that you are going to report her to the police?! Right?! Not likely but I'll play your game...

He could have avoided it all together. It's called common sense.

I love how idiots like you give plenty of excuses to hit a woman.

With the video out and the history of our organization I highly doubt we have him on our board. I could see this being another La'El Collins type situation where he will fall and a team who doesn't give a damn "Cowboys, Dolphins, Bengals, etc." who have history of taking players with a "past" will take the guy and he will  be a good player is my guess. The player has talent can't take that away from him.  He did make a BIG mistake and a team will let him make up that mistake.  I for one don't believe in Domestic Violence or hitting a woman of about 99.9% of situations (unless you are just getting your a$$ beat by her and then we need to evaluate your man card) but it still baffles me Ray Rice can't get another shot.  I mean hell Vick is on a team.  Just because a team signs a player for instance in this situation doesn't mean they condone Domestic Violence, maybe it means they believe a person can be forgiven and given a second chance.

A few things with the statements above.

First off, Ray Rice was averaging 3.3 ypc at 30 years old.  That's mostly the reason he got released and not resigned by another team.

Vick isn't on a team now, and he's pretty much retired at this point.

Lastly, the Joe Mixon video isn't domestic violence (Joe wasn't dating said woman either).  That's assault on a man, then assault on a woman.  Two different things.  In the eyes of the law, Joe Mixon did nothing wrong.  People don't want to hear it, but it's the truth.

But Ray Rice not getting another shot has NOTHING to do with the video.  He just wasn't good anymore at the time it occurred.  Let David Johnson or Levon Bell do something like that, they'd be employed with the quickness.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that he did nothing wrong.  But I don't believe his actions at 18 by being provoked should cost him an NFL career. But he did something wrong and so did the female. He could've kept his gay comment to himself but I'm not going to defend her for "supposedly" throwing her true hate of racial slurs out and spitting on someone.

There isn't really anything more disrespectful than spitting on someone  male or female, I'm not condoning his actions but you shouldn't be surprised of someone's actions once you spit on them like a dog.

Mistakes were made all around, obviously he had more to lose than she did.

Bad situation all around but this is the only thing he's ever done and has stayed out of the trouble ever since

He ripped up a parking ticket and threw it in an attendants face.  But, to be fair.  OU meter maids are the worst.

I bet she won't hit nobody anymore. She's no victim in my eyes. I'm a small guy, hell probably smaller than her, but if you put me in her shoes people would just laugh at me. We as a society have to stop giving women a pass to hit men, period.

Waits for idiots to come in here stating it's not okay to hit a woman.  Even if she cuts your dick off.

No way the Panthers touch him. Certainly off our board. It's one thing to have charges filed against you. It's another thing to have it caught on camera. The NFL dropped the hammer on Ray Rice for the same. Teams will be wary of him.

Domestic violence committed by Ray Rice is much different than Joe Mixon slugging a stranger with a vagina that hit him twice

    • I thought he started to develop good chemistry with Coker over the last half of the season.
    • To put it in perspective, this is a deep ball thrower. Notice how the efficiency basically has minimal drop off regardless of range. This is Bryce Young The other QB is Joe Burrow.
    • It really isn't though If you were to go out to a bar every week of the season, even to just watch one batch of games, i.e. just the 1 pm or just the 4 pm, and spent only $30 a week, you're looking at $540 bucks, $510 if you're just going for the 17 weeks your team is playing, assuming no national games. Also, from past experience, it's hard to spend only 30 bucks if you're at a bar for 3+ hours to watch the game.  Even just a small appetizer, a meal, and say 2 beers was going to run you $40ish, and that was back in 2019 when I used to go to BWW to watch all our games pre the Covid year when I just started finding streams and stuck with that until YouTube got the package from DirecTV. At $450 for a full season, to be able to watch every game, to be able to make your own quad box, to be able to switch between the sound for any game (at a bar in Michigan, I would never get to hear the commentary on our games)... It's really not a bad deal, and that's if you're only watching your team's games.  If you're a fantasy football junkie like myself, then it's a flat out steal, as depending on your TV set up, you can get every game from your fantasy matchup playing.  I do a projector with a quad box on it, a local game on the TV, and then if needed, I can put another game on my laptop and another on my phone.
