I was about to blow this off because of the rams at #1. I didn't remember them have exceptional 1st round picks. I was wrong:

2016 1 Jared Goff QB California
2015 10 Todd Gurley RB Georgia
2014 2 Greg Robinson T Auburn
2014 13 Aaron Donald DT Pittsburgh
2013 8 Tavon Austin WR West Virginia
2013 30 Alec Ogletree OLB Georgia
2012 14 Michael Brockers DT LSU
2011 14 Robert Quinn DE North Carolina
2010 1 Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma

That just tells you how sucky of a coach they got.  How do you have these great players and still be at the bottom of the league year in and year out.   Jeff Fisher should be ashamed.

and it took them FOOOOOREVER to make a change. It's comical how long they let him stay there

We get some heavy hitters, quite obviously.

What I also find interesting, if not a little telling, is that for all the ragging on Belichick's drafting ability here in the Huddle, he seems to hit on impact players about the same as us, and all near the end of round 1.

There's some busts in there though. Goff looks like it so far but too early to tell. Robinson total bust. Austin I'd consider a bust for where they took him. Bradford bust because of injuries. Quinn, Donald, Gurley all great picks. Brockers and Ogletree all are solid, but when you pick 1st twice and 2nd once and all 3 seem to be busts I don't know if I could rank them as the best.

    • Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
    • I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
    • I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game.  If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game.  Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time.  I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
