BTW...that game looks bomb as fug, just preordered.

Looks a little Dynasty Warriors-esque.  Could be fun though.  I'm curious to know more how the battles work, I haven't been super on top of this game.  Though watching Pro Athletes go to town and talk poo to each other over a video game is always good =)

The game has different modes of play but here is one example:

I have about 10 hours into the game.  So far I love it.  I'm actually a little surprised at the depth of the fighting system.  On the surface it seems like it would be fairly simple.  There are only a few combos for each character but each character has it's own strengths and weaknesses which make it far more complex, especially when you add in feints, parries, stuns, chains, etc.

Is it worth the $60? The beta had me interested.

I don't regret buying it.  It does have issues though, the most glaring would be the netcode.  For whatever reason Ubisoft decided to use P2P instead of dedicated servers.  Some people, including myself have had issues with the matchmaking.  When that happens I still have fun playing the campaign or just playing against the bots.  The gameplay itself is fantastic IMO.  Deepest fighting game I've played since Soul Caliber, and it really doesn't look that deep when you see the list of moves for each character, but it is.  This isn't a button mashing fighting game where you could just randomly pound away at your controller and expect to win...unless maybe the other guy is doing the same thing.

    • 2.7 seconds. If he can get the ball out in under 2.7 accurately to the medium and short routes then they can have a better offense than we saw last year.  Someone said he only had 1.5. That happened more than it should have but that was not the norm for the majority of the snaps. Maybe spending $153 million buys a little better than the weak players mostly involved in those 1.5 fails. Maybe Corbett sucks as a C but let’s at least wait a couple of outings to declare it. If he is adequate at best the OL might become an asset as the year passes. Looking at you Icky. How they help him will be a big part of how well they can operate. I think he needs a lot of help. People were beating him with quickness you have to help him. Unless he just morphs into reliable.  I do think it’s on Young to protect his tackles and himself by making shallower dropbacks. Canales looks to be taking charge of QB operating procedure and pushing it more conventional which I am for.  Question on Young, what is he really good at? Because Canales keeps saying he is going to find what Young is good at and lean into that. So whatever he does best along with handing off plenty seems like the plan. I get afraid when he throws a shallow to the sideline pass of any distance, so they’ll probably do a lot of that.
    • Did we ever get an answer on why pete bypass him for OC?
    • 2010, 2019, and 2022 are maybe top 3.
