Any draft experts remember a time in NFL history when the second best RB in a draft class was taken in the top 8? We're not drafting Cook.

Gotta admit though, Fournette to the Jags at#4 would make a lot of sense. They're still not ready to give up on Bortles and nothing takes the weight off a QB's shoulders as much as a workhorse RB.

In '05 three RBs went in the top 5.

How they turned out is irrelevant. You can find high picks busts at every position.

Agreed. And 2017 isn't 2013. There for awhile, seemed like a lot of people thought the days of RBs going in the 1st round at all were coming to an end. Now, we seem to be swinging back toward placing more value on the position, particularly in the draft. A lot of RBs are already nearing the end of their prime by the time they sign their second contract.

It's still fun for me to look back and watch teams do something I'd never do and see it turn out to be a disaster.

I know right!? I mean who couldn't use a taller faster version of Davonta Freeman. Seriously even his pass blocking issues are over blown it's not like he is dumb he just needs to get stronger.
