I rather move on from Funchess, he doesn't provide and valuable skill set to the offense.

He's cheap and still has potential. If Byrd can't even make the active roster last season, he's not an answer. Philly was almost as bad as Funchess last year.

Give me a vet signing and a draft pick and let the chips fall where they may.

I don't agree with that. We wouldn't have selected Cam or Worley and probably others if we just said character concerns. In Worley's case, DG said that he spoke with him at length about it and felt good about him. I know about the one incident with Robinson, so I don't know if he is a Tim Williams (Randy Gregory) type of guy or a Worley type of guy. I don't know Robinson well enough, but I would think that DG/scouts will talk to him about it.

Possession of narcotics and a stolen firearm? Can't see us going anywhere near that. The guy is just super lucky that a small town DA chose to sweep it under the rug to protect a hometown hero.

I think Peppers falls hard, but I don't think we move for him. We need a SS, but the only one the I want is Adams who will likely go before us. Jordan Stearns is a big hitter and emotional leader. I'd like him in 4 or 5

I don't think he will. He's a projected 1st or 2nd. And plenty of teams will take him before the mid 2nd.

Peppers is a pretty good player. Scouts and medias just don't want to talk about him anymore, Bc he was the consensus top prospect coming into last season.

He's talentendly skilled. People will start talking about him again after the combine. He'll light it up.

If Peppers falls out of the 2nd, then yes that's a hard fall. I just don't see it.

By the time the Combine is over, David Njoku will be projected as a mid-to-late first round pick, and he's going to be there early in the second anyway.  Another one could be Carl Lawson, but he's a late first round guy at best anyway.

Robinson and Ramszyck will both get picked too soon to even worry about.

Wish it would be Garrett!! But that's probably the least likely player to drop! Wishful thinking!!!

Crazier things have happened.  It's not insane to think a QB or Allen could be picks 1-4.  Very unlikely, but not impossible.  I still believe it would take our 2018 1st to ensure he's a Panther, but if we really wanted him, it could happen.

Perhaps he could if we had an OC that actually knew that he wasn't going to torch anyone on a 40 yd bomb. He was often ignored when he was wide freaking open because Cam was zero'd in on KB or Olsen. He has a skill set, Shula is just too stubborn or ignorant to use it. Our game plan is predictable and vanilla. No one will succeed long term with Shula as OC. If it wasn't for Cam, he'd be coaching pop warner, and probably sucking at that too.

I'm not following.  If Cam is zero'd in on KB or Olsen, how is that the OC's fault.  Doesn't Cam have the responsibility to read what is in front of him and make adjustments as necessary?

When a guy has a catch rate under 40%, the QB usually simply stops looking for him.

If Garrett falls to pick #2 somehow, the 49ers want Foster and could be looking to trade down. Wonder what it would cost to move up to 2.. Probably too much

And absolute crap load. Barring a some kinda "incident", he won't be available to us.
