Re Rotoworld:

  • "Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune believes the Bears will have interest in free agent S D.J. Swearinger. Swearinger was one of the better safeties in the league last year, earning PFF's eight-highest grade out of 91 qualifiers. He's sure to attract widespread interest, but we're guessing the Cardinals will make a strong push to re-sign him. Retaining Swearinger will become particularly important for Arizona if Tony Jefferson departs, as many are expecting."
  • "The Jets, Titans, and Seahawks are reportedly "on" free agent G/C Brian Schwenke. This seems like an agent-driven report from NFL Network, but we note those nonetheless. A fourth-round pick in the 2013 draft, Schwenke got destroyed as a starting center his first two seasons with Tennessee, and lost his starting job last year. Schwenke should be signable on a backup-caliber contract."
  • "Alex Marvez of the Sporting News reports the Bears are interested in free agent RT Rick Wagner. The interior of the Bears' offensive line is one of the best in the league, but they have issues at both tackle spots. Signing Wagner would solve one of them. Wagner is expected to become the second-highest paid right tackle in the league this week."
  • "ESPN Bucs reporter Jenna Laine reports six teams are interested in WR/ST Russell Shepard. The Bucs are among those teams, but his best opportunity could lie elsewhere. Laine reports "about half" of the six teams want to give him a legitimate role on offense while another team has offered to make him "one of the highest-paid special-teams players in the league with multiple offensive packages." This reads like an agent-driven report, but perhaps Shepard's market will be more robust than expected."
