In all honesty, that sounds like an amazing idea, I prefer Star anyway over KK, plus we have Butler... make it happen Gman!

You are so damn disrespectful, Big Vern is no where near the player KK is. Unless you want 2016 all over again let keep the core together.

Funchess should be traded for a mid round pick & cut Dickson

A) nothing disrespectful whatsoever

B)that's my opinion, if you don't like it, keep scrolling.

C) who the duck asked about Funchess and Dickson?

But I will agree with getting rid of Funchess and Dickson,  they need to go.

Butler may not be there yet, but KK wasn't who he is after year 1. Give Butler more time and I think you have another KK, IMO.

Short will be 29 at the start of next season after the FT wears off. At this point, for me....

Colts 2017 #14 overall + Colts 2018 R1 pick + $13.5M cap space in 2017 [Butler/Star at DT] > KK/Star/Butler in 2017, less cap space and who knows if he's in the long term plans for Carolina past 2017.

I'm a huge KK fan and agree that we need to keep the core together.... but the possibilities of 2 picks in the top 14 could net us quite a bit of possibilities:

Fournette/Howard

Fournette/Barnett

Fournette/McDowell

Thomas/Howard

Thomas/Ramczyk or Robinson or Bolles

Barnett/Cook

Hooker/McDowell

It's a pipedream, but fun to speculate. I just have a hard time seeing Short in the long term plans after 2017, especially with Butler here. That's a lot of extra dough freed up to add weapons around the roster.

I love the draft scenario but history has shown that when we lose a key player on defense the team melts down.

2014: Hardy

2016: Norman

Well no kidding.  Having players like that taken are going to hurt, but what if their $13+ million was actually used AND we got a 1st round pick?  Different story eh?

Different characters but same plot out come aka failed season.

Experience is a huge asset  in the post-season.

But I wouldnt be as mad long as its used on the offensive side

RB/TE/OT
