What is your first round draft priority (DE, RB, Safety, etc.) and why?

BPA: Fournette, Jamal Adams, Solomon Thomas, Derek Barnett

I'm torn for me it's either a RB or a DE. I'm high on both Fournette and Thomas at #8, however I can see Fournette going before we get on the board though - think a team sees his potential and moves above us to take him

I think growing up as a Panthers fan I'm just used to pressure when we are good, I'd like a DE.

It's hard to answer a question like this because my usual answer would be DE, but players like Fournette and Adams appear to be amazing prospects. Even better than a Solomon Thomas, who likely would be the next best DE when pick 8 rolls around. I'm curious how Fournette's 240 weigh-in will affect things.

That's sounds all well and good, but what if Adams is there for the picking? I think he's the second best player in this whole draft.

I would honestly take either at 8.  Currently Leonard is seen at the 2nd best player in the draft by multiple outlets and analysis.  But Mayock from NFL says Adams is a sure top 5 pick.

99/100 times I will take an elite DE over a Safety -- and definitely an RB -- but unless Johnathon Allen is on the board at #8, take Adams or Hooker and don't think twice.

Garrett won't be there but he's the top choice for us. 

Personally I have the following rankings 

1.) Garrett (undisputed)

2.) Hooker (guy is being called a game changing FS a la Earl Thomas- needs to work on tackling)

3.) Adams fits us perfect and is a leader

4.) Fournette- absolute stud of a RB and is a "touchdown scorah"

 

I would be very, very pleased with any four of those guys 

Edit: I forgot Jonathan Allen- depends on how our coaches forsee using him- but if they see him projected as a defense end- I'd put him at number 3.

   Trade them our comp pick for Hyde then...lol. We really need him to stumble at the combine. Not likely.

This is smoke screen. 9ers already said they are willing to trade out of the #2 spot.  They are trying to increase trade interest in teams wanting to go up and get Fournette.
