I'm all in for letting the process play out but.....

WOW!!

The plan better not be to sign all these dudes (being nice not calling them bums) back and rolling out a new draft class and nothing other than 1 or 2 new FA...

He has the money to bring in some starter quality players from FA and not bring back all of our "MeH" back-ups..  No more excuses.. But like i said i will sit back and see his plan playout before railing.. So there is no need for the "team does everything right people" to get bent over..

Just seeing him chipping at the FA money for our "meh" back-ups is disturbing..

It's all a part of the process. Like you said: let it play out.

My only question is ..

Did we really need to sign these guys right now??

Could we have waited until after the 1st and 2nd wave of Fa's and the draft and still got Fozzy/Bersin/Horton??

What teams are beating down their door to get these guys??

Why sign guys that you want to keep prior to free agency starting when you could just let them become free agents and let other teams make offers?

Gee, I dunno.

I really don't get this. Who were you against signing?

Mario Addison led the team in sacks last year. Fozzy Whittaker has been very good in his role and is our best RB catching it out of the backfield. Colin Jones has excelled in special team and will have a cap hit under $1 million. Kawann Short had to be brought back. Bersin, Horton, and Jacobs will also have cuttable contracts.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
