The three players selected right after Ealy

I know you can do this for every draft, but Ealy was a WTF pick even at the time. I thought FOR SURE we were douple dipping on WR's (like previous year with DT's) and nabbing Arob. I was so hype when it was our pick because I seriously thought we wouldn't be there. Oh well, at least Getts is man enough to admit mistakes and get something out of it, unlike Hurney.

Gettleman isn't perfect, so, yeah, he fuged up! But, I don't know of one GM that never misses. Indeed, Gettleman has done pretty well for himself picking up talent. He perhaps could stand to sharpen his maneuvering of draft picks, but I think it's laughable to suggest that he's done a bad job at drafting. At worst, he's above average. There are analysts saying that he's near the top.

It was the best WR class in NFL draft history I was certain we would double dip. But Ealy happened

You and me both. The Kony pick was out of left field. When Arob kept falling and falling, I was so sure he would be our pick.

His point is you can find players at any position in any draft that would have been better picks then who we drafted.

You can actually go back to and find many articles and mock drafts about us drafting Robinson and Landry. We worked out Robinson as much as any player.

This isn't hindsight 20/20 we had those two in our sights and after releasing every WR on our roster that offseason everyone thought we would draft two

    • I knew very little about this player before we drafted him. When I read scouting reports about him I understood the pick and thought it made sense as a late round receiver with speed and special teams ability but after watching him more closely and now adding his interviews into the equation I'm actually really excited about him. I know it's just RMC but I noticed him running his routes with this extra step that really stood out to me during the general video posted earlier without realizing who it was doing that.  His speed in his first cut is just on another level and it's visible. When I saw it I was **** whoa, who was that?! Then I saw Horn JR. and my first thought was oh it's him. I think it's very possible that he was under appreciated going into the draft due to his height and stats because he played at Colorado where the attention was on 2 other players but I think this dude's ceiling is way higher than most think it is. Especially after watching his interview. He looks hungry. I may have found my fav rook for this year's pre-season. I like pulling for underdogs anyway and as someone who played on the small side myself it just gives me more reason to cheer for him. The competition at WR looks like it's going to be fierce this season. I honestly can remember any preseason where I looked at out wr group and got past 3 players who I thought were interesting but this season I'm interested in at least 5 who have my attention going into the season.
    • Wilson should be getting called for at least 3 penalties a night even in the post season. How does he not lead the NHL in PM???
