Are you comfortable with the roster?

Absolutely, I honestly believe if Cam plays well we will win a lot of games.  The roster has talent everywhere even before the draft.

I am more worried about this referee vendetta against Cam.  If he is hit in the helmet they have to call it.  That was horrid last year.

Of all my posts in here this is the one you choose to shitpost in response to? Weak.

I had to go back and edit that post. There were 3 instances I could think of off the top of the dome. We had quite the opportunistic defense in 2015.

Like it or not luck does play a key role at times.

Because it was a poor example of your previous statement. Two whole games! Really? It's the NFL. Most games come down to 4th qtr. and a little luck. For all teams.

Then you add a game that we had a 23 point lead in the 4th qtr. One which it took a lot of luck for GB to have shot to even tie with a TD and 2-point conversion.

I didn't respond to anything else because I don't care. Just use better examples. I know a lot of people on here like to pretend that 2015 never happened, but it did.

We almost lost to the Jags if not for a miracle interception by Norman to seal it.

We almost lost to NO's backup at home if not for another pick by Norman to seal it.

I recall another interception to seal it against a driving Packers team at home too. Think that was Davis.

So maybe give some credit to our defense? I don't remeber the end of the Packers game because I wasn't able to watch it but I highly doubt the Jags would've beat us even without that pic, the saints still needed a td so you're saying if Norman didn't pick that ball off they would've been gauranteed a td?

I'd be more comfortable with another outside corner (I think Worley is nice but just don't think he's there yet), another DE, a slot receiver, and more O-line depth because I'm skeptical about Oher. In order though I'd say 1. O line 2. WR 3. DE 4. CB

This also has crossed my mind...the defense is close to amazing, I think Gettlemagic is going to take the best players available and if he does we are fine talent wise.  If Cam can get near the form he was in we'll be contenders.. On the surface we have a lot of DEs but after this yr maybe 1.  DE at 8 is extremely likely.

Man if that 8 pick is a great pass rusher our secondary will look really good.

Long post, sorry but this draft is extremely deep at WR too.  Looks good there.

I love the enthusiasm but I'm not sure I can call the defense close to amazing. We have to remember that Peppers and CJ are not in their prime. Ron says they will be rotational but Addison and Horton are not completely proven commodities. I could see them underperforming and forcing us to play Peppers/CJ to the point where they get worn out.

SS has been upgraded but who knows by how much. Adams is near the end of his career. And Mayo needs to be ready to take AJ Klein's role.

But like you say DG is in or close to a position for BPA this draft and take us over the top. Should certainly be a better defense than last year.

I was against the idea of taking a DE at 8 but I'm starting to come around to it.. ONLY if Fournette and Adams are gone though

The GB game got out of hand late but Rodgers brought our defense to the brink there briefly. Which was the overall point. Sometimes it's just one play that can change a game completely. Think about the most recent Super Bowl when Atlanta decided to pass instead of run and just kick a field goal.

You don't care so much you quoted me twice, lol.

If you want to be a condescending prick, expect the same in response. Me and The Hudder were disagreeing just a bit ago, but you didn't see me slapping him around for it did you? Keep it pushing.

So you expect Cam to carry a WR group consisting of scrubs like Charles Johnson, Russell Shepard, Devin Funchess as his 2, 3 and 4?

Gettleman has proven he isn't very good when it comes to acquiring offensive talent. Cam completely maxed out the talent he had with that 2015 group. People need to stop using that year as a norm and start asking themselves why the hell we aren't giving this man proper talent at the WR position.

Like I said, hopefully the next GM makes it a priority. I just hope we still have Cam when that day comes.

Yeah Peppers would have been our best DE last yr (arguably) and love the Munnerlyn sign at nickel.  Adams too that guy can play, great fit.  Offense needs some speed and weapons in general but we are close.  Stand by it though its up to Cam if he is Cam we'll be great.
