Did the Pats really "win" free agency?

I mean the cooks trade was great. No way you draft a guy like that at 32. The Ealy trade is boom or bust because he has been inconsistent. All in all it was a solid FA for the Pats but there draft will be disappointing.

Hearing a lot of BS about how the Pats have killed everyone else in FA, and a name that keeps coming up is the Panthers and Kony Ealy. Some idiot on Mike n Mike told everyone that we shouldn't pay attention to his production during the regular season so far in his career but to watch the SB where he dominated... according to this moron Dave basically got bent over and abused.

What say you guys?

It was time to move on... not wishing ill will ...hope he does well...

They got two top players in Gilmore and Cooks who both are in their prime.

I would say they won it fairly easily.

The Op's question was who won Free Agency. Cooks cost the Pats a #1 pick as well as a 3rd rounder. They did get the Taints 4th rounder back.

Ealy also mentioned by others also was a trade deal. Neither of these pickups were Free Agents.

But if the question is are the Patriots smarter than everyone else? The answer certainly is yes.

The OP's title says free agency and the rest of his post talks about Kony Ealy, which was a trade.

I answered the OP's meandering question in his post.

I saw the NFL Live segment today. They hit on the SuperB owl, and pretty much made it out that that is who Ealy is. Saying the Pats got a star to move back 8 spaces, and that we were idiots to let him go. lol

Every Panther fan that ever saw Ealy play, is not mad that he is gone. That should tell you who he is.
