I'm officially going all in on Corey Davis. I just can't see any reason he wouldn't be a good pick. He fills the most glaring hole on the roster and I could see him as being BPA at our pick.

The only knock against him was level of talent, however he showed no reason to think he wouldn't have excelled in the SEC. Great route runner, great hands, will win almost every contested catch, good speed, all the production you can ask for and to my knowledge zero character concerns.

I dont buy into the well it's a deep draft we can draft a receiver in round 2 or 3. Nobody close to his talent level will be there in the 2nd.

Granted I've said the same about the likes of Alshon Jeffery, Keenan Allen and Allen Robinson in the past who all were available in the 2nd and Keenan in the 3rd.

Eithery way his combination of talent and how he fits on our team with the least amount of question's regarding fit scheme and immediate impact wise makes him my favorite at the moment.

Feel free to state your case for your favorite to help the undecided.

The picture hopefully is worth a thousand words.  3rd and 6 late in the game in a raucous environment against a bitter rival and bends the edge like NO ONE else to put the QB in the dirt.

I LOVE Fournette but the value of a 20 year old DE like this and the ability to pick up a RB later rues the day by a whisker.

it's down to Fournette or Howard for me.

I love Fournette too. However I always thought Stewart would become expendable if we drafted Fournette. The extension before the draft by Gettleman tells me I was wrong there. That dampens my enthusiasm on him being a day 1 workhorse back for us. Nothing wrong with a 2 back system but how in the hell can we stop teams from stacking the box without counting on CJ2 or the special teams guy from Tampa to exceed expectations? Either way Fournette is a monster and someone else I'd be glad to have.

I have to admit, I am very late to the OJ Howard party. Dude is a monster! One of the best run blocking Tight End's I can ever remember seeing and not only that but go here  http://draftbreakdown.com/video/o-j-howard-vs-texas-am-2016/ and you can see him take on Myles Garrett in pass protection! Alabama could have done more for his resume by getting him more involved in the passing game, but in his limited opportunities he looked good to me.

Why I am so late to this party? Because I'm guilty as hell for looking at the stat sheet and never thinking it would be worth the time to pull up his game tape.  I gladly admit I was wrong about that one and now can be excited if we take him vs upset, due to sheer laziness on my end.

    • Been here since the Coliseum days. Hornets were the first pro team I ever rooted for. If they're ever going to get out of the gutter they have to establish a culture. They are trying to do that. I have no idea if it will be successful but it's a start.
    • I don’t think I'd go that far but there is definitely legitimate reason to ask how much he actually values winning and being great as a basketball player. He is very easily distracted with off the court stuff. This has been a public criticism of people like LeBron James with some of the newer generations of "stars". And it is 1000% valid and needed to be said. All I can say is I hope this is the year. If it is it will be apparent fairly early on. But I get the sense if the same themes continue as the upcoming season progresses the FO could look to move him before the trade deadline. It would suck for a multitude of reasons and I don't want to see it happen but if it did it would be on LaMelo and LaMelo alone because they've given him the keys and are finally putting pieces around him. If he wants to be a great basketball player and win he will be here and do what is necessary for the team to be successful. If not well....
    • Haha.  I remember my first Hornets season.
