It will either be him or mcaffery if we don't trade up for fournette. If we stay out I have a feeling the browns will be looking to trade with us to get ahead of buffalo.

Yeah that makes sense. We're probably going offense in the 1st, and we need a guy who can replace Greg when his time comes. Wouldn't be shocked if it's Howard.

You also have to consider what would happen to our offense if Greg went down with injury. It would pretty much grind to a complete halt.

Like I said, if we draft this guy... good backup incase Greg gets hurt or when he hangs it up (he's going on 33 I believe)... in the meantime TWO TE sets... gives Cam another safety blanket and more protection. Still want LF7 but I could live with OJ.

I don't think they'd be drafting Howard to replace Olsen. Olsen has a lot of years left in the tank. Howard allows us to run a 2 TE set as our base offense, which means he could contribute as both a blocker and a pass-catcher.

Yeah we're going to use him right away, but eventually he would replace Olsen.

He has the ability to potentially fill several needs at once and long term. I think gentleman sees the value in that type of player and would take that into consideration. This draft is fairly weak at Oline, so he may be as much help as any guy we could get in the draft to help in that regard.

Exactly. Our biggest needs are WR and OT, but since there aren't any players in those positions worth taking at #8, Howard is someone who could help out both roles.

I still think trading back into the 12-15 spot and landing McCaffery and then trading back up into the mid 20's to take David Njoku would be perfect for this team. 

Thats two versatile weapons for Cam long term. But we can dream..
