Does anyone buy Gettleman's BPA nonsense

If you don't somewhat address the roster you have then you end up with last year. I'm not saying reach, but if you have a high first round grade on a cah'nah and a runningback do you really take the corner because you grade him a '90' and the running back a '89'? I am skeptical of this.

Bpa that can help your franchise win yes. Gettleman's balls on the line during draft day and goddell calls our number... They're chopped off on the block. Anything is possible, he uses Shaq as an example but we all knew He was TD's eventual replacement. And potential slot cover guy for us. So that was a bunch of junk. Aj Klein was a definite backup.  I think he's got a raging boner for Fournette and it's pretty hard to hide. It's like those boners you got in Church from being so relaxed sitting down, and when you stand... By God there it is... So I don't believe his whole bpa crap for a minute, unless a hog Molly falls out of the top 5 at 8.

RiverBoatRon will right next to him guiding him for the right decision for the Panthers, not his Ego.

Fournette > OJ Howard > McCaffrey

You get boners from sitting down in church?

Id say last year he didn't go with BPA and reached like a mofo to take three corners

He kind of addressed this in the PC. Said something to the effect of walking a tight rope between balancing current needs vs potential future needs. He insinuated he would lean towards more immediate need as a tie breaker but if one is far and away BPA he's not scared to turn in the card on the far and away BPA.

In today's PC he explained/admitted last year was an exception to this philosophy or rule but noted he stayed true to grades and took Butler instead of reaching for a corner in the first.

    • That should have been this year. Tough to sell to anyone worth getting when this crew is going into year 3 on the hot seat. I still think keeping Evero will sink them all after last year's showing. If/when he is scapegoated they need to show improvement or it's likely to be so eone else's problem next year. I do agree in principle tho, it all should have happened after last year's problems.
    • I've listened to some things that have calmed the "Bryce was flat out terrible" to just "he was really bad" in Week 1. It's Year 3 though, and that shouldn't be the barometer. I've got 1% hope left for Bryce, and that's just blind homerism coming out.  I'm scared that as much emphasis as the team places on advanced stats and PFF that the team *doesn't* think Bryce was that bad in Week 1. Couple that with so many of the QBs in the league looking rough, offense being down in general, and I feel like there's a lot of "what if's" going on in the building instead of facing the music.  Lose Week 2, and we should switch the main focus back to building/churning the roster, evaluating young guys, and hoping our next QB can have a Jayden Daniels level of impact. As we're all well too aware of, QB is a crapshoot a lot of the time. Admit we made a bad pick, and go draft another. And another. Repeat until correct.
    • I wouldn't want any of those starting as a rookie on day 1.  That said, we need a vet, that is not Andy Dalton, that can be the starter while a prospect grows and learns on the sidelines.
