Panthers Big Board

Agree with you on the Howard point, but it almost seems incorrect to rank him against Njoku and Engram. Howard is much more like Olsen who's job is to both pass protect and catch - these are known as Y tight ends.

Engram and Njoku are F tight ends who are less relied upon to block and more relied upon to catch.

Going with the theme that we seem to be "all in" this year, and JR really wants to win the big one. It actually makes more sense to pair Olsen with a F tight end (Engram or Njoku) than with Howard. That isn't to say Howard couldn't compliment Olsen, but he's more of a replacement.

Further, adding to this theory is the point you mention: the depth at the position. There isn't another Fournette or even McCaffrey in the draft, this is however a deep draft at tight end.

I do want to once and for all point out that I believe it is a mistake if we aren't considering Malik Hooker

The guy is the prototype modern day FS and could drastically effect our defense for the next 10 years. If you want evidence of this see how poor Seattle's defense was after Earl Thomas got hurt this past year.

My only concern for him is health. Yea he kinda sucks at tackling, but even Earl Thomas misses tackles. You can teach the kid proper form and hope he improves to passable in that category.

His instincts, speed, range and ball skills are second to none.

@Jeremy Igo  do you turn notifications off after one of these posts?

The retarded comments and attacks have got to be a pain, especially if you actually want to engage an honest question.

anyways, that's the order I pretty much am relying on even though I fully expect to be surprised come Thursday.

best case staying at 8 we land thomas, "worst case" which is not really worst case, is lattimore/conley.

then we move up for njoku.

i wouldn't be mad.

Fournette has a realistic chance of being there.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
