I agree to a point. Cam needs to generally work on his mechanics for sure, but I think that a lot of his bad habits stems from a lack of protection and the lack of receivers getting open. Hopefully Kalil will fix one and McCaffrey can help fix the other by being a legit target himself and drawing pressure away from someone else.

I figure that if Cam can get Fozzy the ball, then he can get our new first rounder the ball as well. 

Some things are just overstated, like Cam having absolutely zero touch.

Everyone and their brother compares MCM to Reggie Bush. And they're wrong. The best comparison is Brian Westbrook. Let's look at their combine stats:

So their heights, weights and other measurements are extremely similar with MCM slightly better at everything except moving iron off his chest.

Well what about position? They both are ridiculously versatile, can catch, run in between the tackles and return kicks.

But Cam can't throw him the short ball. Who was Westbrook's QB? McNabb. Known for accuracy? Absolutely not. Known for throwing at people's feet.

So by your logic, MCM will fail. In 2016 Brian Westbrook was nominated to the Hall of Fame. Even though Westbrook won't likely make it in, I'll take that as a career for MCM.

Fine Brian Westbrook whatever, it's irrelevant. 

I'm really struggling to put together why what Westbrook was able to do with Mcnabb means anything about what Cam will do with McCaffrey.

I mean literally every single factor in that comparison is different except for a percentage number that means nothing except to reductionists simpletons like you.

Weird. As someone who is really skeptical of Gettleman, I actually think this will be turn out to be one of his better picks. I still worry about Cam dying behind our OL though.

It's not just touch though. Ball placement is a bigger deal that people think. That alone can be the difference between a 3yd completion and a 25yd gain. Cam is awesome at throwing slants but he definitely needs to work on all the other short stuff. It's not that he can't do it either, it's about consistently putting his playmakers in the best position to succeed. All the great ones do it, regardless of how good or bad their O-line is.

Also @Moorgan go to draftables and you'll see Westbrook and mcm are nothing alike coming out. 

Westbrook was strong as fuark with only average speed. MCM is fast as hell with the strength of a weak South Georgia high schooler.
