Based on how things played out and with hindsight being 20/20 lets have fun with this...

1(8): CMC (RB)

2(40): Obi (S)

2(64): Chris Godwin (WR)

3(77):  Jordan Willis (DE) *** Yes he was gone at 77, however we traded up, but I'd have traded up a lot earlier to take him and I was saying this before Willis went off the board***

5(152): Bucky Hodges (TE)

6(192): Jalen Myrick (CB)

7(233): Happy with the kicker we took here

"Let's pay for something we got for free!"

Also, anybody who would take Howard over McCaffrey is excused from adult conversation. Because Howard was totally drafted 9th.

I honestly think howard is overhyped. What the fug do i know though.    Idfk..

Only thing I'd change is getting Zane in the 6th before the Browns got him, though I don't even know about that because maybe Buttkicker will be great.

Buttkicker supposedly played lights out his pro day and made all his assignments, while Zane and everyone else missed kicks left and right.

It's why the Panthers brought him in for a visit and looked at him extensively.

1(8): O.J. Howard (TE)

2(40): Dalvin Cook (HB)

2(64): Curtis Samuel (WR) (only team to take a WR was Pitt @ 62.. and they took JuJu)

3(77):  Deashon Hall (DE) (Keeping trade in place as i don't see a player i would take between 77 and 98)

5(152): Will Holden (RT)

6(192): Jeremy Clark (CB) ( at 6'3 220 and solid tackler i would convert him to Safety)

7(233): Ben Boulware (LB) (debated Elijah Hood here.. but can't deny the intangebles of Boulware)

That's MY perfect draft based on how things fell.. getting Howard and Cook + a similar player in Samuel made the loss of CMac Manageable.

I promise you that Curtis Samuel would not have been there, Dallas reportedly loved him and only drafted Switz later as a replacement to Samuel

This is absolutely stupid because we don't know every teams draft board. Just because Walter Football doesn't think Armah was worth drafting doesn't mean any of the other 31 professional football teams thought he was.

Remember when Bradberry was such a terrible pick because he was a "seventh rounder"

You get the guy on the top of your board.

Gettleman specifically said tons of teams worked out and were very interested in Armah. Walter Football usually has no idea what they're saying.

Not following your logic. This is going by who was available and where they went.

Not, since we passed Samuel in the 2nd he might would be available in the 3rd.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
