Atlanta had a good draft. In fact, I think all the teams in the division did. The only real move I question is the Saints not drafting for the front 7, especially DE, earlier.

The one misnomer about Atlanta that has carried over from last year is that they have a good defense. Their performance in the first half of the SB was by far their best of the year, and was only surpassed by the historical collapse in the 2nd half.

They were 25th in yards and 27th in points yielded last year on defense. That ain't good and was only masked by a historically good offense.

The Falcons have tried to address defense in the draft. They certainly seem to value speed over size.

The only caveat is that everyone expects the offense to be good, and they should be. Still, matching what they did last year is historically speaking not likely, and that's before taking into account how injuries usually even out and they didn't miss a single start by any offensive lineman last year.

Add into that a 1st place schedule, the inevitable SB hangover, and a division that has improved, and duplicating last year seems a lot less likely.

I ain't scared, and can't wait for Cam to shat all over Arthur's Anus

they defend his stiffness and trash technique by saying he played through multiple injuries. so not only did they reach on a bad player, they traded up to reach on an injury prone bad player.

they're also really excited about the alcoholic college coach tasked with filling the void left by shanahan's departure. yikes. that's my first and last visit to that shitty forum.

I am glad you didn't catch that 28-3 viral strand.

Atlanta on defense is still bottom tier. Fans and the coaching staff value speed over size and power. Which is fine, but when your defenders are undersized and only possess speed, you've got a recipe for disaster especially when bigger and stronger offenses come to town. They'll physically overpower them. That's why you need balance. The Falcons didn't improve on that with their first pick. They got worse. Now they have two speed rushers instead of drafting a brute who can handle maulers.

Moton coming on those Falcon lightweights like:
