Who's next in line for a contract extension?

Saw this regarding Davis. If we wants to keep playing I say we bring him back for a couple more years. He's 34 now but still playing at a top level. We also have other key players who's contracts will be expiring soon, so a lot of tough/interesting decisions will be made over the next 11 months.

Most notable 2018 Free Agents:

Thomas Davis, Star, Norwell and Turner.

Franchise tag's for Guards and DT's is nearly identical at 13.6 -13.7MM.

Who would you prioritize in bringing back?

I really think it is Trai's turn next.

TD will get his final deal at some point this year, and it'll be a bargain/career closer.

I'd like to get Star's done, too, but it won't be a priority with us just doing Short and having Butler in tow.

I think Norwell might get to test the market, but I say sign him up if he's willing. He shouldn't get Trai Turner or anywhere close to franchise G money.

Said it recently, use the two guards against each other a bit like the Steelers did with Brown and Wallace.

4/5 year extension...right at top 10 guard money like say....Kyle Long's deal.

Kyle Long signed a 4 year, $40,000,000 contract with the Chicago Bears, including a $7,500,000 signing bonus, $18,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $10,000,000. In 2017, Long will earn a base salary of $6,250,000 and a workout bonus of $250,000, while carrying a cap hit of $8,000,000 and a dead cap value of $12,250,000

See who the first to sign it is, and go from there.  Star is really important as well if we are going to continue to play our type of defense.

Not going to happen.  TD will certainly finish up here.

That's a situation I could see Richardson getting involved in and not allowing that to happen. TD is a pillar of the franchise in the locker room, on the field, and in the community. I just can't imagine anyway that he doesn't retire a Panther.

I like TD, I respect TD and if anyone deserves a statue next to Sam Mills it would be TD. Father time though is undefeated and as long as the contract reflects being team friendly then sure... otherwise this is a what can you do for me league, no sentimentalism.

Star, Trai, Norwell are the contracts needing done in that order of imperativeness.

SMH...

This is an approach that only successful people would take! I'm all for keeping TD as long as the contract is written on the basis of reality! Some fans around here are willing to see him make 25mil a year for the next 25years while playing in a wheelchair. Ultimately his choice but he has the money and reputation to be extremely successful off the field! Rather see him enjoy 40 and beyond than being a "pillar of the locker room". Hope that he desires to coach
