So...When Living In North Carolina...

The breweries are great, check out as many as you can.  NODA and OMB are highlights.

The food scene is improving - be sure to check out some of the old favorites (Price's Chicken Coop) and newer, trendier spots.

Charlotte has some nice park spaces - Freedom Park and the greenways are highlights.

Pro sports almost year round is a real bonus.  Definitely catch a MILB game in the new stadium uptown, it's awesome.

Don't listen to the CLT hate on this forum. It's a great place to live and is close to a diverse set of cities and  geographies.

Before anyone asks, No, I unfortunately am not employed by the Panthers, but I will say that I am currently employed by a player on the team.

Trying to figure out why a Panther player would need a fluffer.

Charlotte:

- NODA (NODA Brewing, Blind Pig, Cabo Fish Taco, Crepe Cellar)

-Epicenter (mainstream and can get crowded, but I like it)

-Lake Norman area (grew up in LN, lots of fun to be had on the Lake, also Davidson is a cool place to visit and walk around)

-Freedom Park

Soutpark Mall, Concord Mills, Northlake (kind of sketch now tho)

Asheville- cool city w/ lots of hippies. Biltmore is cool especially if it is your first time.

Wilmington- downtown is great in the summer, lots of bars.

Triangle - CH is dope, Raleigh is getting better w/ its nightlife too.

What is one to do/go see when one gets the opportunity? Excited to announce that I am indeed moving out of the "12th Man, Russ is better than Cam cause he's a team leader, who's Matt Hasselbeck?" territory I've spent all 23 years of my life in, and am moving to Charlotte this Sunday. Before anyone asks, No, I unfortunately am not employed by the Panthers, but I will say that I am currently employed by a player on the team.

So what are the MUSTS to do in Charlotte, NC, SC in the Summer/Fall that I absolutely MUST do or see?

I am beyond excited, as Charlotte is by far the greatest, most beautiful place on Earth. Trading in 5 degree, rainy and snowy winters for hot and humid summers is going to be well worth it. Bump this if needed, but this has been my source for 10 plus years and everyone on here is fantastic with suggestions and anything related to this beautiful area.

    • In all honesty, no one knows if Dan really pushed for Bryce to be drafted. It's not fair to Dan to say that just because he was a part of the Fitterer regime then he was in full support of drafting Bryce. If the HC, Reich at the time really wanted Stroud but got bullied into drafting Bryce then Dan had even less say so in the matter. Dan was also saddled with giving Bryce an opportunity to compete in years 2/3 because of the cost to trade up and get him by ownership.  Outside of managing the QB position, Dan has made good moves and built a decent roster. Solidified the O-line and D-line, drafted contributors, and made good trades (Mike Jackson), and free agent signings (Dowdle). I do believe that this offseason will be really important for Dan and we'll see whose side he is clearly on. Bryce has had plenty of time and opportunity to prove himself and he has failed, if Dan is a Bryce homer he'll give him another year and pick up the 5th year option. If Dan isn't a Bryce homer, he'll move on from Bryce. Either way, we'll find out this offseason.
    • You also have to extend him and probably deal/cut Bryce
    • Jones would be what he is if he was on this team, a fairly middle of the road game manager. Still and upgrade but probably not worth the price the 49ers may want for him. If it's not something stupid in terms of ask and he doesn't want something even more stupid in terms of longish term contract, I am okay with a middling game manager until we can do better through the draft. The one thing that wouldn't be terrible is some stability at QB. That has almost never happened under Tepper.
