If the offense is more of the same as we've always seen with our newly acquired speedsters, then I am all for cleaning house and that includes RR (I mean obviously)

This. Dave made it off season priority #1 to get them a bunch of shiny new offensive weapons. If they can't adapt and figure it out and tailor an offense to suit, then it's past time to find people who can.

This is nothing new with a Shula offense. I don't know why people keep thinking anything different. If coaching staff can't get it done this year with this amount of talent, then it's time to clean house.

Not sure I follow?

I was saying that with the added speed we got via the draft in CMC and Samuel, that we better be seeing a change in our offensive philosophy.  Since we should have a nice balance of size and speed for a change.

And if not.......it's time for major coaching changes

Seriously? Are we now going to bash Shula for things that haven't even happened yet?

Something about an old dog and new tricks...

Shula has never shown an ability to adapt his approach. So yeah, I have significant concerns about our reliance on him suddenly developing that ability.

Shula had never run a spread option before Cam came along, so when you say he has never adapted his approach, that's simply not true.

Another thing I have noticed is that that a lot of the same people who constantly bash Shula also get all defensive when somebody brings up even the most mild criticisms of Cam Newton. The fact is, Cam has an option on every single play. Nobody is making him throw it 30yds downfield on 3rd and 5. There is ALWAYS  an underneath option unless it's a desperation hail mary play. In fact, he can audible from a run to a pass, or visa versa pretty much anytime he wants.

My concern isn't the lack of a plan. My concern is that the people who are creating the plan are the same people who thought slow developing downfield routes with slow WRs and no OL was a good offensive game plan. If they use this same logic with CMC, then we'll see nothing but dives up the middle into stacked boxes.

Yeah, they totally planned on the OL being the way it was last year.

Not to pile on KB, but that little hitch he ran in the seven second clip was about the most awful route I've ever seen. It took him four yards and 2-3 seconds to "fake" the DB and turn around.

That was pretty bad.

That actually looked alittle better than last week. Still slow, but at least this time he didn't look like he had a parachute on his back

This 100%. I'm sick of the excuses. This year is put up or shut up year for the coaching staff. We have the pieces. We have the talent, both offensively and defensively. We even have the depth at most positions to cope with losses to injury. Anything less than an appearance in the NFC Championship game will be a huge disappointment. And I'm on the borderline of thinking that one and done in the playoffs should mean a cleaning house.

I know it's hard to be consistently good in the NFL. But there are teams in this league that manage to get 10 wins a season consistently and that's all I'm asking for. I'm getting impatient, and most Panther fans I know are too.
