Former Panthers mentor the newest Panthers

Nice story. Shame McCaffrey couldn't be there.

Attendees included John Kasay, Mike Rucker, Muhsin Muhammad, Travelle Wharton and Brad Hoover.

Love the knowledge Taylor Moton shows about past Panthers.

Damn...outside Wharton, they brought back the 03 Super Bowl squad. Could have Peppers help mentor too.

And Armah or however you spell it, especially since he's going to be a fullback.

Yeah, I wonder if Hoover is available for some personal mentoring duties? He's a perfect example for Armah since he was also a small school kid who made it in the big leagues.

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
