Im afraid he is going to show of his more "analitical side" by letting some young talented players walk because they arent "his guys".

While the old ass guys are

But what is your expectation in specific contract $$$?  How much is too much for Davis and Olsen.  No one willing to say a number but the second they sign I suspect there will be lots of people saying it's to damn high.

I say if they extend TD but his cap hit is lower then it's a good deal. Greg deserves to be paid like a top 3 TE, but I personally think its a year too early. I understand why he would want a new deal tho

You're correct. Most of this place has lost its ability to be objective on the subject. Those who remain that way are drained out by the majority. I understand where you are going with this but it's a lost cause. Just rest easy and enjoy the ride my friend. If he fugs up, nobody can worry their way out of it. If does well, then the majority will meltdown. Most are already rooting for his failure to pad their own ego and beliefs.

I do somewhat believe that he learned something from the disaster of the contracts he handed out before he was fired.  I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he won't be handing out money like candy this time.  What I don't believe is that he's miraculously become a GM-level talent evaluator.  He was absolutely atrocious outside the first round except for a few picks that he got lucky on.  If he stays around long term (which I absolutely believe he will), the talent level on this team will decline rapidly.
