We have been a part of several punter trades in our history haven't we?

Why would anyone trade for these guys when they will be cut in a matter of days? I guess to try and grab them before another team does...but still.

I was worried Hurney wouldn't have the same interest in butker that gman did. Looks like Rivera wants Gano and gettleman was the one who wanted to replace him. Rivera's loyalty will destroy this team

Based on what? 

The reality is Butker, based on first hand accounts from camp and practice, has not looked good.

It amazes me that ya'll think a rookie sub 80% career in college kicker is gonna supplant a veteran on a team NOT rebuilding. Butker isn't better than Gano at the moment, and his inexperience on a team full of veterans likely is not what the staff is looking for. 

Aguayo had a better pct in college and we saw his transition, the kid was drafted in the 7th as competition to keep pushing Gano, and to see if there's a chance to replace him. 

But the notion that he's better, is laughable, and hanging games on a rookie kicker shoulder is something that has proven not to be a thing in the NFL.

There have only been two since '05. We were involved in both.

We traded Sauerbrun for a 7th and traded a 4th for Lee. When you consider the fact that the last punter trade was over a decade ago and involved a 7th round pick it really drives home the point of just how hard Gettleman got fuged by the laughing stock of the NFL aim that deal.
