I watch sports to escape work and life. Last place politics should be in is sports and places of worship. Idgas if you stand, sit or curse this country. It is their 1A right but I do prefer a nonpolitized game and I know who not to interact with. TB this thread.

I couldn't care less about who comments on this. Why is there a need for every damn person to comment on this issue?

Americans are damn drama queens and live in a soapbox world. FB and Twitter platforms allow idiots of both sides to rage like hormonal teenagers.

This is so stupid, Trump is a Reaction to the disrespectful childlessness of Sports Athletes today.  The NFL needs to clean up its own disrespectful house, Trump is simply saying what much of the NFL fan base is thinking which is why he did it on a stump speech.

How is kneeling disrespect? It is not as if they are being loud and obnoxious during the anthem. They are still kneeling and observing a moment of introspection, which is still respectful to the country and military. They are making peaceful statement for what they believe in while being respectful. I used to be on the other side of the argument, but there is no reason that these athletes should be attacked for what they are doing. Yes, they are rich athletes so I know there are comments like "they aren't underprivileged" or "they have nothing to be upset about", but they are not only being a voice for themselves but for others that aren't as privileged.

I hope every single player kneels today.

Yeah all those Alabamans waving confederate flags have a valid point on respecting the American flag.

The same people that hated on The Golden Calf of Bristol for kneeling are applauding these people for kneeling.

Hating on JR for not releasing a statement is short-sighted and ignorant. If you care that much about how he feels then perhaps this isn't the place for you.

    • I think we pick it up and then someone else ends up emerging as the QB next year and we end up cutting him in year 5 and eating it.  That would be the most on brand thing to happen.
    • Evero has his faults, but even in that loss, the team only gave up 20 points. Your post gets to the heart of the matter. We are not a talented team on defense at this time. Some of our younger guys may develop w/more playing time, but for now we have no impact players at LB or EDGE. We could really use a ball-hawking S on the back end as well. We have exactly two players that have to be accounted for on every play, D. Brown, and J.Horn. Mike Jackson has been solid. The other starters would probably be backups on most the upper echelon NFL teams. We really can't expect this team to a Top 10 defense with such a lack of talent. All things considered I've been somewhat impressed with how much better they have played this year.   https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-points-per-game   https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-average-team-passer-rating We are in the top 15 in terms of points allowed per game (22.6) and top 12 in defensive passer rating (88.9). And, we are doing this without a formidable PASS RUSH. Even our rushing defense has improved. We are #16 in rushing yards allowed per game (116) compared to 179 per game last season. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-rushing-yards-per-game I wouldn't cry if Evero moved on after the season, but his defense isn't the biggest worry for our team.
